You know that aweful feeling when you get your nuts squished? Well I was dreaming that some bastard had ahold of my nuts and I was begging for mercy. Then I woke up and realized that I was squishing my own nuts between my legs.

It wasn't a pleasant experience, let me tell you.

that's your unconscious mind acting up!

Posted by Slylee on Dec-16-2002 17:27:

i have been getting deja vu a lot lately too...funny feeling.

for the most part, my dreams usually involve stuff that i do in my life. i dont have really weird dreams of flying or anything. it's always about not having enough time to do something or they involve people i work with or school or something. i also have a lot of dreams with wild animals in them too. like a lion and i'm really scared in the dream and trying to hide from it...or once i had a tarantula in my dream. sexual dreams involve my bf of course and are always enjoyable...but that's more like daydreaming..does that count?

Posted by Matt on Dec-16-2002 19:11:

I can't recall what happened in any of my recent dreams...

however, I can recall experiencing lucid dreams a few times.

IT's the coolest thing, because you are still in the dream, and you are consious enough to realize your dreaming... so your decisions become more effective

I am gonna find a way to induce lucid dreaming....

I find that the stuff I think about right before I sleep tends to be the subject matter of my dream... so what if I think about a piece of paper that says "HEY! THIS IS CONSIOUS MATT! YOU ARE DREAMING YOU DUMB FUCK! GO FIND SOME DREAMWORLD CHICKS!" right before I sleep... and then maybe I pull the piece of paper out of my pocket during the dream.... I dunno

Posted by HyperFreak on Jun-23-2003 01:31:

I can remember one time when I actually continued dreaming on the same dream I dreamt the night before.

Has this happened to anyone else??

OMG, dude!! It's so fucking annoying and frustrating when that happens. It feels like you are always running in slow motion which in itself can be a cool thing, but often you are running for yourlife (in your dream of course) and its so frightening that you can't control your legs to move properly.

2ndly about lucid dreams:
What always happens to me when I have those is that by the time I realize I am dreaming and am in that semi concious state, I always try too hard to not wake up which of course invariably leads to me waking up. No matter now many times I've made this mistake, I always make the same mistake over and over and thus have never had a lucid dreams longer than a few moments. That always sucks, cause I was just about to do something cool in my dream and then I feel myself waking up and its like damnmnnn.

Posted by Trazedict on Jun-23-2003 02:16:

ahahha some of these dreams are great!! i laughed at USMC_Greg's comment. ahah

i get Deja Vu all the fucking time!! it is so weidr.. and ive had it happen so much i get scared a lil. how does deja vu work? do yuo dream something, and then the same thing happens in real life a little later?

and about the lucid dreams... wehere you can control them... for some fucknig reason i have these dreams a lot, and i have the ability to do what i want, but for some reason my mind never lets me. its really hard to explain, but its like my mind is working against me in my dreams. its frustrating as hell and i usually wake up being pissed off cuz i didnt get a chance to screw a chick cuz my fucking mind wouldnt let me.

Damn you mind, damn you.

Posted by Trazedict on Jun-23-2003 02:24:

OH yah, and while we are talking about dreams, has anybody heard of this? It's a raelly weird thing you can do when your sleeping.

When your dreaming, you try to gain conscious of the world around you. YOu might start off for example lifting your hand up and trying to view it in your sleep. If you can overcome that, then you can try picturing things yuor used to, such as your room, and begin to walk aroudn in it just as if you were awake. and eventually you can begin to explore the world in your dreams, as if it was real life, or perhaps it is real life. you can for example, walk into some really hot chick's house that you know and watch her take a shower or something, or you can travel to wherever you want in the world.

i think i explained that correctly. does anybody have any idea what im talking about? i hope so, and if you do, care to elaborate on what i jsut said?? my dad told me this after he read it in some book. hes a really smart guy so he understood it well and explained it to me, and im trying to remember it the best i can. its a really risky thing. he said he tried it and something scared the hell out of him and he never tried it again.

Posted by sash on Jun-23-2003 03:06:

that's lucid dreaming your talking about. i don't know about risky, maybe that's in an OBE?

didn't work for me

i've been trying to record my dreams for a year now, i even have a deadjournal specifically for dream entries. it's much harder to write dreams down when you're in school, because you're too tired in the evening and don't remember the dreams when you wake up, and if you do, you don't have much time to record them. and then during the course of the day you either forget the details or are too lazy / tired to write... but now since i'm on summer vacation, i'm going to be doing it again.

that's the first thing about lucid dreaming - you have to be able to remember them. otherwise, what's really the point? i'm sure all of us lucid dream sometimes, only we don't remember.

but if you want a few quick tips on how to start, here they are:

*record your dreams. try to remember all the details. remember that you ALWAYS dream, several (3-6) times a night

*practice the following: during the course of the day look at a clock, note the time, and then look back again and see if anything changed. write something on a piece of paper and then read it a few times. notice if there's anything weird, like letters jumping or whatever. in our dreams we usually can't read or things just don't say the same. if you create this habit in yourself, it'll be easier to identify if you're in a lucid dream. see, in our dreams we believe EVERYTHING, because our minds think it's real. taste, smell, touch, etc. - everything is simulated by our minds as electrical impulses

*if you're in a lucid dream and you seem to be waking up, try to spin around in your dream. that usually helps

remember though, lucid dreaming is not that easy to achieve - heck, i've been trying for a year now... but i'm not giving up, i've had some wonderful dreams and i'm glad i remembered & recorded them

sleep paralysis, just remember nothings real im kinda over it now

Posted by DJ M.G on Jun-24-2003 08:10:

yeah sleep paralasis
is that where you suddenly wake up after a nightmare or scary dream, and you cant move your body for a brief time. Apparently you just lie there
and your trying 2 move your body but you just cant do it, because
your body is trying 2 adjust to being awake again.
I would hate that 2 happen 2 me, imagine that just lying there in
the dark scared shitless and not being able 2 move after a nightmare.

I had a sexual dream, it was about 2/3 years ago. it was FANTASTIC!
this isnt the dream but me and 2 of my mates were at a club in town about 3 years ago and we met up with my ex girlfriend also my mates current girlfriend and some of her mates.
NE way the dream i had was based sort of on that night out.
I was sat there on one of the couches (the club was quite shitty)
and this gorgeous looking girl just came up 2 me, she had strawberry blonde hair and was wearing a red skirt outfit which showed off all her curves she just leant over with her clevage in my face and started snog me, i couldnt believe my luck .

all of a sudden she started 2 take my clothes off!, i remembered i could see other ppl dancing, drinking and talking all around.
then in a split second all that was gone.....
we ended up in this double bed, everying was happening slow, which was good, then there was the foreplay, i dont remember much of it!
hands were going everywhere but slowly, i still couldnt believe my luck. then she was ontop of me then we started to have sex it was so good then i woke up, with the gentlemans early morning thing!!! aint had a dream like that since

Posted by robstar on Jun-24-2003 08:21:

Dude! I could fill a book with weird dreams I've had.

A few nights ago I dreamt that put my was sliced into 4 pieces, I could still walk but for each step I took I felt the 4 slices loosen from the foot.

I dream alot about teeth injurys as well, the most occuring dreams is that I rub my teeths together till they crack and that's REALLY scary cuz it feels so real!!
I've also dreamt that a old friend of mine punched me in the face so my jaw "exploded"

One another weird dreams me beeing chased by vampiers who could walk on water.
I tried to get away from em in a lil boat but they followed me across the lake.
I wish I wrote that dream down cuz I can't remember how it ended.

Well, u asked for it.
*Puts on strightjacket again*

I think I just got myself a new hobby!

Cheers!

Hm
I particularly love those really complex drams that seem to stretch for an eternity. It's like an entire life dreamt. Also those dreams with a dream in a dream. You know, dreaming that you dreamed about something but you're still in a dream (reminds me of Matrix Reloaded).

Recent dream.....
Hm...I was running away from these guys, suddenly Im working at my dad's gas station and those bunch of guys (little ganstas or something) enter----and become my enemies form one second to another. I hide and call the police. which arrive immediately but wait outside where...holy shit: they're shooting a movie scene! Fort some reason all those ganstas then decide to give up and the police run inside changing all figures with their substitues which are mostly charactzers from the 3rd Austin Powers Movie- There this woman whose hair I see form behind, suddenly exchanded by Felicity Shaggwell

Then I forgot

I have some trance-related dreams:

The first is about Tiesto, he and I went ski-ing, and I must say: he was very good! Afterwards we chilled in some chalet and the funny thing is, when you dream about it it doesn't feel weird: just ski0ing with Tiesto, that's all. But when you wake up, you think how amazing that would be.

Second dream: I was ont the beach, Bloemendaal or something and Armin just played at a part there. Everyone was gone, and he was sitting there. He was cooking an egg, and I wanted him to sing that egg for me, and.....he did I felt really honoured and then it ended....

Posted by RedLunatik on Jun-24-2003 12:19:

somehow in dreams i get into fights O_o

but i can never hit a person ... well i can but when i throw a jab/punch ... it's sorta like people are forcing my arm back so im fighting some invisible force and i can never get a punch in

odd huh

Yeah i have... been able to control what i do, change the lighting n weather, the scene, stiff like that

Usually in a problem solving dream if i dream it twice, second time around i finish the dream really quickly as i remember how it is solved.

Hmmm, I seem to having a problem lately of getting caught in the illusion of a dream. Almost everytime I dream, I know at the end that I am dream. It's almost no fun. An example...

The other night, I had a dream that I was at a friends house, and we were sitting at his kitchen table talking. He says that he's hungry, so he gets up and heads for the fridge. He comes back and offers me an apple, so I accept it. Now one thing, next week I have to go to the periodontist to get some major mouth surgery on my gums. Because I have a defect where the bone between my teeth has decayed rapidly over the years. In either case, so eating apples kind of makes me uncomfortable. Anyway, so I take this apple reluctantly and start eating it. I take a couple of bits and then look at it. There's blood and literally teeth stuck in it. So I freak and run to the bathroom and over the sink. I spit out tons of blood, and most of the teeth in my mouth. I feel no pain though. I look into the mirror and see the awful disaster my mouth has become. I look to the right of the mirror and notice a picture of some guy. It starts to laugh at me. I start to wonder what the hell is going on, and think to myself "Oh God - this is like a nightmare" Then I somehow realize that this isn't real. It really is a dream. I start to freak out again, "I wanna wake up!!" And poof...I'm awake.

Moral of it all? Get off my ass and make that appointment with the goddamn periodontist NOW
