back on topic

the perth segment of itm is 90% wank.

Posted by djway on Jan-15-2003 13:49:

TA got his own thread....heheeh.....

venue 4 PvD, i'd prefer other, fall back 2 home, if it's @ gas, don't think i'll go. That place shits me, heat, sweat dripping (happens there 2), cramped, bad vibe, no room, shite bar, bad chill out, on_the_fooking_road.

Posted by jc on Jan-15-2003 14:29:

ill put my money on Gas getting him

to be honest im sick of both of them, I wouldnt mind a smallish outdoor venue.. something like the one at homebush where sasha played

Posted by skware on Jan-15-2003 16:39:

my vote would be ANU decent size, good bar, ...

Gas
Home
Other

Please NOT Gas I know I haven't been there before, but I have heard MANY MANY bad things about it from some other Sydney punters.

I wouldn't mind Home again, and being on a Saturday night as opposed to a Friday night, should cut down on the hard banging Sublime crowd.

I hope we find out soon tho.

Gas isn't that bad! It's definitely better than Dendy! How could you miss Armin and Ferry last year?

Isn't (or wasn't) Home's Saturday crowd a house music crowd?
Yeah Home is definitely a top-of-the-range venue, I'd prefer it there if it had to be in a club! Similarly for other solo DJ events e.g. Tiesto if he doesn't play at Two Tribes.

Trust me... I wish I had gone to Sydney from the Gold Coast for both those guys. Time and money contraints.....

Works for me

ANU is good because the dance floor is relatively large and there is room around the bar to chillout and not be too noisy...

But if I have to go up to Sydney to see PVD... then so be it

Posted by Chookie on Jan-16-2003 03:18:

Yep, gas needs a makeover! It's looking very dodgy and dirty!

ITM are abit slow with news no doubt - hes playing in Sydney on the 29th.

As for venues - i agree with webmeister :P
Outdoors would be great but March is notorious for fucking rain and that would not be appealing to be getting all wet whilst dancing (well to me anyways)

At this stage - IMO Home seems like the best bet.

Airconditioned
Crisp Clear Sound System
Bass that actually kicks

Some great responses - really valid points - keep it up - im really interested in what u lot have to say about this because as we speak Paul is busy trying to decide where he wants to play - assuming he wasnt happy with Greenwood last year.

BTW - does anyone else have the new PvD DvD Global CD?
Its fucking awesome - cant wait till Feb!

he played at home last year, greenwood was the year before. Anyway, Paul doesn't have much say in the matter, it's more about which club is willing to pay him the most ....

hehe yes

Posted by webmeister on Jan-16-2003 10:43:

Yeah he really didn't like Greenwood back in 01 .. especially when ALL the power went out! I'm talking lights, lasers, heaters (its outdoors), music, even the bar fridges weren't working. Was even better when that ugly skank knocked the needle off the record with a vinyl cover

Though Maroubra Seals 2000 was such a brilliant venue

Out at a Homebush venue would be good ... could you imagine PVD spinning in the middle of the Superdome?! That would be mind-blowing!!

Posted by djway on Jan-16-2003 14:05:

I'm blind, I can't find it....ITM is slow 2nite also...*hint hint*
