ff7 might have been that good of a game had the ending not been a complete joke.
Lure of the Temptress was the best RPG game ever on the Atari

how exactly do you figure?
nothing about any of the characters, or what happens to them... EXCEPT red 13, who is the LAST OF HIS KIND, who is somehow running around with his kids?
talk about unsatisfying. maybe that kind of short crap ending would have worked on old snes rpgs, but on playstation i would hope it would be a little more substantial
I dunno maybe i was impressed with the flashy stuff
But your right it wasnt good, but it didnt ruin my gaming experience, i still rate the game as my favorit psx game folowed by ff8.

it will come here for sure if the original xenogears made it
i started playing xenogears a few years ago, and i stopped paying right at the end for some odd reason. anyway, i forgot about it entirely until this year, when i finially finished it... let me tell you... the ending made zero sense after forgetting the begining. lol. still, when i was originally playing it, i played every night over the summer for about seven hours straight. awsome game.
Never heard of the game, I'll stick to Age of Mythology....

Xenogears is an amazing game. I'd have to say it's second only to FF7.

I agree with you there wholeheartedly !!
FFVII is the best RPG there is, with Zenogears definitely coming to second best...both made by Squaresoft

rdent:
it happens even if you didnt stop playing it and pick it back up again
i spent 90 something hours on xenogears (i NEVER spend that long on games), and by the time they explain everything, i had forgotten a lot of stuff too. i think its one of those games that you either need to read a summary afterwards, or play it again. one of these days im going to play it again.

| Originally posted by TeKnoHe@d2025 Yes, you really do have to play it over again. I have a friend who is a Xeno-addict and he explained alot to me while I went through the first time. Even though that made things better and a little more clear I was still confused. About a month ago I started a new game on Xenogears and it's amazing how much more clear everything is once you start out from scratch. Everything really does start to come together and you get the big picture. Currently, I'm at the Ethos H.Q. I've kinda stopped playing again though due to Morrowind and Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance |
