Is Swampz #1??

well you're postin' aren't you?

Looking at the # of members in a forum doesn't mean much.. They could have a lot of members but few are active -- or, a lot are active but the quality of postings is poor..

Anyways here's a breakdown for here:

# users / # of posts

385 - 25+ posts
261 - 10-24 posts
1300 - 2-9 posts
508 - 1 post
946 - 0 posts

...yup.. looks like i'm gonna have to delete about 90% of those 0 posters soon.....

Shame / Disagreement

don't forget, that some of the people with little posts come here to learn. Maybe they dont want to write anything, cuz they dont have anything to write. I mean when they look @ lynx for an example he has over 2700 posts, then they think like 'oh shit, so many posts, maybe I'd better get to know this forum for a while'
It took me 2 weeks, before I managed to post something, I felt was intersting

anyways: LONG LIVE TA!

only 385 peeps with 25+ posts?? that's so sad........

only 13% of this community is actually posting stuff, the rest only wanted help at something, and then they forgot about this site

Yeah maybe you're right, but when i'm first came here I posted imidiately to try out how it worked. But so many people who register and don't post is sad.

BTW I have a friend and a recommended the site to him and he registered and post one post. Kinda sad.

Laterzz

Posted by breakdown on May-15-2001 19:09:

i suppose the posting thing is correct to an extent.. i dunno tho.. at the same time, many ppl come here... spam or something and then disappear.. but *shrugs*
as long as there are enuf of us to keep TA to the max.. then its all good..

Yeah, I've been comming to this site pretty much every day since about summertime last year and didn't really realize there was a forum till December LoL. I'd always come to download tracks and stuff.

Talking

TranceAddict users are QUALITY not QUANTITY

Posted by Miss Proximus on May-15-2001 20:43:

I found it so strange when there was this guy with very few posts, and he said he'd been "watching" this site (thus the posts) for 2 years before he finally started posting himself!
I would never be able to do that! There are so many quality posts here, that I just have to be part of it!

I don't think it's that sad... imagine all the 3000 TA's would be regularly posting some messages... it wouldnt be possible anymore to overlook the forums!!
Even now it's hard to keep up with all the new posts... unless you spend hours and hours each day on this site, off course!

True... and shockwav started out the same way, so I guess its all good...

Posted by cyberia on May-15-2001 21:40:

Well just imagin' if all 3000 TA's would post 5 posts a day

Posted by breakdown on May-15-2001 23:36:

all 3000 posting 5 posts a day.. man.. 15000 a day..

theres currently 67000 or so posts.. so in 5 days.. we would attain that amount.. lol

so many statistics..

and yea.. u can view the forum without registering..

but i mean.. it isn't really that big of a deal.. since these people who register and don't post.. don't really affect us.. or anything right?
in fact.. it just adds to the number of TAs
*shrugs*
u could look at it that way

Posted by Linx_da_cat on May-15-2001 23:38:

heheh. infin, yeah that's a helluva lot of posts.

besides, i rather keep our lil' community of all us ppl small. it's better that way me thinks. more of a community feelin' than a large 'crowd' persay. i dunno.

Posted by breakdown on May-15-2001 23:49:

yea.. the more TA's there are.. it seems as there is more crap floating around.. and more spamming.. and more disruptions..
BUT.. saying that
the more TAs there are.. means there are more knowledge floats around..
and more knowledge = good!

Posted by Linx_da_cat on May-15-2001 23:51:

hehe true. but we gotz all the knowledge we need from you, simcut and the like. lol. it's all good already! hehehehe. community is good!

Posted by breakdown on May-15-2001 23:55:

hehe yea i guess..
wait till TA gets to 10000 members.. i wonder how long it'll take to get there..
i predict... by... March 2002..
yea! hehe.. and then..
100000 members by... June 2004
yea!!! howsat.. hehe

Posted by Linx_da_cat on May-15-2001 23:57:

lol. ahhh!! that's insane...lol. too many posts all over the place!!!! hahaha. there should be like 2 forums by then.
