That'd be 01 instead of 044 on your cell phone there, heh.

Btw, i'm glad you like Chiapas, certainly it's a beautiful place (for those that love the nature).

I might be travelling México after my internship (so, won't be until July 2004) or maybe earlier...I don't really know yet!

If I do visit the area of Chiapas or México City I will get in touch with you guys

Cheers!

I've heard the electronic music scene is pretty good in Mexico with alot of big name DJs playing there. One of my favorite sets is Sean Cusick - Kiss100 - Live from Guadalajara (Bet I mispelt it)

I have some really good Mexican friends. All they ever say is: No mames wey, que cabron, Chinga tu madre pinche sueco mamon

One day, when Ive learnt spanish I would like to go to live in Mexico as well. One thing is sure, mexicans know how to party! Never seen anything like it.

México has many festivals all abroad, great beaches, prehispanic sites, religious drugs and plenty of Psy Trance!!!

If I can help you guys in any matter, I will be glad to do so...

Check my site here, if you have any answers where to come, we can help you!!!

How about the Loveparade in mexico? Is that any good?

Posted by discojoe on Aug-25-2003 13:10:

That resort you are staying at is right near Cancun. Looks like its in the heart of mayan riviera. (not sure though.) So you'll be enjoying some of the most beautiful scenery in the world. Cancun obviously has a fantastic club scene. Acapulco has a huge beach rave in November with just about anyone you can think of. (sasha digweed...) Other than that hope you have a great time!!!!

Talking Hi... I'm New and i'm from Mexico

There are actually very good mexican DJs you should do some research to find out more. I would recomend Miller Mix in Mexico City.

Mérida 17 Col. Roma
Entre Puebla y Av. Chapultepec
a tres cuadras del Metro Insurgentes
Ciudad de México

Every Saturday 8:30 p.m. - 3:00 a.m

Good Luck.

I seriously recommend Karloz Elizondo
this man rocks...
his style is more progressive, but, who cares!

The acafest was a blast back a couple years ago. I remember my cousin told me about it when I was on vacation down there, but I didn't believe him when he told me about the lineup.. Then we got down there and I found out Carl Cox was one of the headliners. Is the acafest still around?

i'm not too sure, last year had some complications due the local weather, I believe some of the presentations were even cancelled back then.

So far I've not heard anything for this year, but who knows, if there's gonna be one this year it shouldn't be too far from now.

Posted by Miss Proximus on Sep-05-2003 11:46:

so hey how can I find out where the parties are and whether people like Alicia Keys will be in concert in mexico? (or am I being stupid now)

leaving sept 10th!!

Would 60,000+ at the love parade in Mexico sound big enough? yes! there is a trance scene in Mexico and it's growin' pretty damn fast.
the mayor cities like Mexico city, Guadalajara, Monterrey have raves and trance scenes. I wish here in the US we had an event where 60,000 people came out for trance at the same time! but I guess the rave act would kill that, damn!

i wish i was in guatemala right now. i could show u around. lovely. if you can try visiting my hometown. San Francisco el Alto on a thursday, market day. The town is located on a mountain but it has a decent population. their are alwasy foreigners walking around on WED THUR and Fri, one of the best markets in all of Guatemala. our "feria" happened just a few days ago also. evey major town has them, large parties that commemorate something, can't remember. those are awesome. i am sure you would love them.

let me know how it goes. also be careful in the capital. most people are very nice, but try not wearing a watch or exessive jewelry.

I also heard rumors that's gonna be pushed back to december, or even to next year, again due the local weather. Currently there're a lot of storms in the area, it'd be quite insane to do it unless the rain-gods get tired, heh. Anyway, thanks for the link, that should give us more accurate info.

Mexico has an awesome scene. Personally, I was born in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico, but I live in Los Angeles now. However, I travel to Mexicali quite often and I gotta tell you. The clubs there kick ass! I played several times in Mexicali, Tijuana, and Rosarito, and those were some of my most memorable events ever. Specially Rosarito when I was DJing infront of tons of people on the beach front while the sun was setting down!.... That was the best! Man, my dream is to one day play at the Love Parade in Mexico. I've always wanted to do that. I almost traveled to Monterrey just to see Sasha when he did the mexican tour earlier this year.

that;s a picture I took while on stage in rosarito.
