it would be pretty damn hard to fake ignorance of basic functions (walking, reading...).

I actually tried it once (for some reasons which I will not disclose ) and I didn't last an hour.

I've read about it once: sometimes, when the brain loses some information we may consider important (such as the answer to the question "how did I burn my chest?"), it may come up with an alternative that might convince you it's true, when it's not

It seems we can't trust not even in our brain

I mean, I don't think we remember things the same way, do we? So, how's your memory? For example, closing my eyes, I can almost see some the things that happened to me (if you ask me about my first live set, I can close my eyes and tell you where each one of my friends were in the dancefloor), and I can also hear things I've been told in the past (even though I'm terrible to memorise whole conversations, meanwhile my brother is very good at it). I know some people can even remember smells (not my case).

So, how's your memory? What things can you easily remember and what can't you keep in your mind?

take a few courses called Psychology interesting stuff

ooh.. now i understand we are talking about MEMORY.

well, mine is pretty simple. It uses a Capacitor and a transistor. Called DRAM -dynamic RAM- since it needs to be refreshed every once in a while

I think emotion has something to do with it. Moments of intense emotion such as a nightmare would probably be remembered more vividly due to the intense fear one felt.
