WTF is wrong with you people?! The only reason I can see some of you NOT wanting this stuff to be played on radio is because you want to keep it underground or whatever...

And as trancegeek pointed out, look at what's commercial in the Europe... I could live with the fact that stations all over T.O are playing that same stuff, all day long.

That's kinda fucked because "The Wolf" doesn't have that commercial sound to it like the Trance tracks that they play do, plus that track was just released in Decemeber.

Yeah, but all those tracks sound commercial to begin with, "The Wolf" is not... there's not even vocals in that track, and it's techno. Plus when they do get something on this level... it's usually about 6 months later or more after it's release.

The ppl in Europe aren't the same as ppl in Armerica (north america)... and if they were then i would agree with you. The only reason why we don't have Huge ass parties here is because 1. there's no huge ass venues that can be used for it, as in most cities... the use of city/government owned venues is not allowed. and 2. Canada's population is spread out over this massive land, whereas in most places in Europe, the population is alot closer together so therefore more ppl are willing to go to these huge events. For us... if it's not in this City... we have to make a road trip which ends up costing alot more $$$.

I believe that even in Europe where trance is more mainstream, it is still an "underground culture." I mean, BBC radio has big djs spin on Friday/Sat nights in the UK but it's not like you can listen to trance 24/7 on the radio. It's still saturated with top 40 crap.

My point being that I don't think the music we enjoy will ever become overplayed..or reach mainstream radio at any significant level.

I wonder what it's like in Holland though...

you made some good points...especially about the distance thing. I know all the big parties in Europe have organized buses going from all over the country. For instance, for gatecrasher or godskitchen parties in the UK the party flyers will have numbers and ticket information for trains and buses to go to the party. Even planes, in the UK you can fly from Dublin Ireland to Birmingham for the equivalent of 10 bucks.

There are big parties here though...what about WEMF??
