yeah i aint too fond of PVD either. I have never really been interested in him, save for 'For an Angel' which is a masterpiece!
although i am really interested in hearing this track, i think its something that i will like, as long it isn't too similar to a PVD tune.

It's almost like he did it to say "Look Paul, I can use your own sound and make tracks better than you" |

| Originally posted by DJ_Skaya I'm sure that's just it, PvD and Armin hate each other, so Armin's going out trying to copy him.... Saying that a mediocre track is better than "Nothing But You", "Vega", or "Out There" shows what little taste you have ![]() Theres MY oppinion for ya |
And yes, this mediocre track is better than those listed because, in my eyes, PvD is nothing more than a mediocre producer. PvD as a DJ ranks up there as one of the best...but he needs to work on his productions. The only track from Paul that has gotten play from me recently was "Animacion", and even then it was only a few times. His songs lack depth and it's that simplicity that draws me away from them so quickly.
okay. just grabbed the Armin EM, and gave this tune a listen.
And I must say I like it. Sure, there's gonna be people who don't. Same thing with Ligaya.
same goes for this one... sorta. Im listening to it now, and I think its pretty good. It seems like a very experimental project by Armin. but this track is starting to grow on me. Reminds me a lot of some tunes off the Final Fantasy VII OST.
and why is it whenever something with vocals is released, people automatically demand a dub?! you guys need to chill out and remember its just music. If you don't like it, just shut up and move on. If your an elitist proghead, why do you care for Armin anyway?
I think it's decent to say the least, if not one of the better tunes I've heard so far this year. And I thought I had high standards.
As for PvD, he'd best start shocking us with some new material; the steam of his previous productions is beginning to sputter out. But I suspect that we'll start hearing some innovation around the time Nothing But You gets released.

| Originally posted by Nell There, i said it. it sounds like he stole a PVD sounding beat, the vocals don't go with the flow of the track, the samples used in it have appeared in his previous productions i.e. dust.wav and the only good thing is the melody in the breakdown, but even that dosetn seem to fit the track. yet another day had so much more production quality to it imo. maybe some remixes will do it justice!? dont turn this into another ligaya thread, cos its not a good production. you people who start going OMFG etc, what you really mean is that it is a new track and that dosent make it good. start the flaming, but you know im right |

Im just saying to answer the question, he said Armin stole the beat from PVD, and i'm saying that if that was stealing then the KLEA remix is stealing.
AND the Magik Muzik Remix of KLEA is what PVD stole the idea from....dude i got all the KLEA remixes on vinyl and and none of them use the riff or beat the Magik Muzik uses...so PVD likes it and remixes it...whats that called.

Ok im confused, what is the creator of this thread saying Armin stole.
i dont think they are saying armin 'stole' anything, although he used samples he has already used in his earlier productions, eg. Dust.wav.
I think the whole PVD 'rework' idea is lame, a cop out.
Thinking back when I first heard the beginning of this song on his E-Mix I thought it was gonna kick into PVD - For An Angel.

Ok the track does sound like his other productions, but whatever, that is his style! In my opinion this track is good, not armin's best not his worst but okay, and I do really like the vocals!
8/10
Amazing track, one of armins best ever!

hello,
if there is someone innovative in the industrie is pvd...
I think when he began with his reworking concept back in 2001, that was very smart of him if you would ask me. I also think TPOD was very revolutionary for the Mix-CDs concept as what Paul did, was not seen before
there is an interesting interview about Global you all should read...
...and yes, finally someone agrees with me that some armin`s production are very alike to Paul`s.
