I got 2 programs here that will send SMS via the net for ringtones and logo's etc
damn thing is thou they are exe files and my website host wont let me put exe files on there cos of the risk of viruses

i cant zip them up cos the exe files already contain Zip files lol

sooooooooo

if any of u know of webspace i can sign up to for free
and that takes exe files i will upload the stuff there
I have Nokia smart SMS
and Nokia SMS agent
1500 ringtones to go with them as well

easy use the conversion programme

i just found one for the nokia 3210

another one thats on my nokia CDrom
this one is a ZIP file so i can upload it to MY site
its 1.5mb in size
if wanted let me know

and Infin i got the 8210 Pc Suite as well
dunno whats on it cos i never unzipped it to find out lol
thats about 4mb in size

There seems to be three different formats for ringtones: Key-stroke sequences, 3210 Composer codes, and RTTTL code, with RTTTL being the most common I think.

RTTTL looks like this:

To clarify things:

Entering the ringtone directly into the phone only works on 3210, 3310, and possibly some other 3xxx models. Then you need the ringtone in Composer format or in Key-stroke format. There is a converter between those two formats.

For all other models you can only send a ringtone via SMS or hardware cable. You can use the program SmartSMS to send ringtones and other stuff via SMS. Then you need the ringtone in RTTTL format (see my last post above). I don't know if there's a converter between RTTTL and Composer formats, if anyone knows please let me in on it.

Invalid RTTTL eh? Hehehe, well read my post above one more time before continuing...

Then go here and download the proggy:

It will convert from Composer format into RTTTL. Paste that into SmartSMS or nokring. Many tones I tried sounded like crap though, so there might be differences that the program can't translate. Also, you might need to fill in the default duration and scale. Use nokring (link in my previous post) to try it until it sounds good.

To tell one format from the other, Composer format has spaces separating the notes, while RTTTL has commas (,) so the ones Cyberia posted for example is Composer format.

As for finding trancy ones, well... It's a jungle out there, and it's almost as bad as the warez site shit, with links and banners and pop-ups and god knows what!
