Thats a fair point, but this guy was travelling down to gatecrasher for his 6 hour sets each time. The problem with british people is they are always hoping somebody messes up sometime or another instead of just being happy for someone who is doing well. If you don't like don't listen.

yeh most people in this country have became complete twats. it used to be a case everyone liked a lot of stuff, nowadays people only like one and say everythign else is shit.

I think what the don is trying to say is that dark room is not the name for that tune, it hasn't got a name. I'm not sure tho' he's a complicated man that don. Anyway it's still not a rip off of gatex cos' it's a hundred times better, even you must admit that.

Mauro Picotto - Baguette is one of my favorite tunes......but to be honest the only Picotto production i like...

I will always like Picotto because he opened the doors to techno for me, but now i like Chris Liebing, Fabio MC and Adam beyer alot more.

I think the other thing people sometimes forget is that mauro picotto has never claimed to be a techno dj. He has said that he plays techno records, but never that he is techno dj.

In interviews he says he plays what he likes, this is none more apparent than albums such as the v.i.p lounge, and with productions such as the funk mix of back to cali. He plays everything from house, to chill out to full on techno such as dj rush and the like. So i'm pretty sure he doesn't care that people don't want to call him a techno dj because he doesn't actually claim to be one.

Dj digdug, he's no longer a part of bxr, which I am quite happy about because some of the stuff coming out on that label just now is scandalous. I think he's producing with just him and ricky ferri just now, bxr is now up to joy kitikonti and gianfranco bortolloti

I can think of a million tracks that arent original that way..

Armin van buuren allways uses the same sound ferry cheesycorsten also uses the same sound over and over again..

Picotto comes with NEW stuff,accept it.

Also,for those ppl only know komodo and think he rips everything...
I heard over 80 tracks of mr Picotto,and only 4 of them had a bit ripped sound in it.
And those 4 are the most well known tracks (Komodo,LTLT,Proximus..)

Go listen to Baguette or Random and u'll know that picotto is great.
Also,for a nice liveset,check picotto@climax2001..
Great tracks and not a single mistake.

He's been playing it since very early 2002, which suggests to me production started mid 2001, which was before gatex was realesed.

personally i think his productions hit hot and cold. Some of his tracks come out sounding similar and sometimes he churns out pants trance, but sometimes he comesup with beasts of choons which i love. Cyber Food or whatever its called just makes me wanna wiggle

however, back to cali was appalling... so was push's rethink...

as for his DJing i never heard him live. always off doing summut else, so i cant commment.
