I kno that we are starting to build a bit of a fan base, and through
that we are going to make productions that will be as equally good as full release tunes and ONLY release these on the internet. As with all amature/up and coming artists, we want to get somewhere in this industry and sharing new artists music doesn't help with getting it released as most people wont even buy it. Maybe in years to come when we have actually built up a name for ourselves we will not be so bothered.

1 example is cosmicman - i love you. How rare is this track on vinyl?
I dont want the same to happen with any of our productions. So i would apreciate it untill after we've built up a name first. These are still early days for our tracks and we are going through a very stressful time getting them released, this wont help.

As for some good news. Paul Brown has been in touch with me. He is FFRR's A&R and is very interested in the track. We are going to send him a copy, then it will just be a waiting game to see if he wants to put it forward for the release!

I'd like this also to be an opitunity to thank some people again.
Jon O'bir, Guy Ornadel, Scott Bond, Nige (TAW), Az, Neo & Farina, Dave C & Rob Nickson, Rob Aker, Helena, Ant Williams, Big al and everyone else that has suported us, thanx !

*feels chuffed to have i love you on vinyl*

but yeah, that was a damn shame with cosmicman...he is still signed to 16 inch, so who knows, mabye the planned cd single WILL be released.....

but yeah, for that to happen to ANY song is a damn shame....btw, you have a great choon there, good luck with the full release.

ffs.. dont share this too.. it really does suck when tunes get mp3'd so early on.

and yes it is a great remix

and also, cosmicman will have some great new stuff soon, don't worry

Posted by Sid on Feb-22-2003 13:43:

I respect that, cant wait for the vinyl ! good luck in making a name for yourselves dude

So there's absolutely no way I can sample the track now?

Posted by george_hales on Feb-22-2003 16:32:

nope, ur just gonna have to either tune in to TAW or listen out in the clubs!

Be Cool!

Well i understand wanting to make some $$ but does anyone make and really money with Trance music?? i mean if your making sandstorm and eveyone is overplaying the hell outa it i can understand u making some good $$ off roalties and cd sales but FFS theres tonz of trance cds out there. All of which are on the net.

Posted by george_hales on Feb-22-2003 21:43:

we aren't in it for the money, but we do need to get noticed. Its the labels that are in it for the money really, and to get on a good label, there needs to be potential. If we had our tracks plasterd all over the net, there would be no point releasing the tracks as most peolple wouldn't buy it on vinyl. As i mentioned earlier, cosmicman - i love you was a brilliant track, but no one wanted to release it because everyone already had it on MP3.

Oh haha also forgot to mention the version on TAW is slightly edited, so yer go ahead rip it n try to rls it, ull look a complete fool!

Posted by Mental Exodus on Feb-22-2003 22:07:

Be Cool!

So basicaly your saying that TAW isnt playing the final reslease and its only in 128k. Well I guess that stops everyone. And the added fact that Az has a cheese grater and knows how to use it.

No im saying its the final edit, but has been edited by TAW to ensure if some1 rips it they wont have the exact version thats gonna be pressed, and yer its 128, but that doesnt seem to stop people.

Many thanx to Aspiration for letting me have the full track

mint tuneage ! ! !

and NO before anyone asks me, i wont be sharing it but i will be playing it from time to time out on the road and on my TAW show, and it will not be played stand alone, always in a mix.
