and about "acid air raid". i reckon i already said in another thread why it was a remarkable exception. it was NOT produced for tracid traxx. it's on choci's chewns where it trully belongs and where there is plenty of other productions of george saunders aka solar quest, akin to the legendary acidairraid.

but having said all that, i state that no acid trance track comes close to acid techno sound. that's where real acid madness takes control revealing all the destructive power of the silver box. so i suggest u quit listening to your (tr)acid trance and switch to acid techno instead, the true acid sound

yeah mate, i know what your saying regarding the quility of acid lines etc between the likes of tracid stylee and YOUR sorta acid trance/techno, the point i was arguing was that tracid isnt cheesy, i agree with you one the completely different vibe between my style and yours.

and yeah, theres a massiver difference between 'acid air raid' and pretty much all of the other tracid traxx, and maybe it should have stayed on choci's, but im glad it didnt, cos perhaps i wouldnt have heard of it if that was the case

peace brah

If someone thinks I put the wrong producer in the wrong group. Feel free to correct me, but I find it difficult lately to put a producer/DJ in one specific group as they try their hands on everything lately

that is a LOT better. No invented generes, *cough* DJ Tranz *cough*

One post it is your so call Hard Uplifting Epic and Hard Uplifting Cyber Trance, the other you love your deep up-beat prog trance that you play.

I spin Hard Uplifting Epic and Cyber Trance and Deep Progressive House/Trance and what I play depends on DJs that are before or after me and where and what type of crowd. Plus when I am asked to play, I ask what people would prefer to hear. here is a link to something very similar to what I play as Progressive www.djjeffyen.com click on multimedia and then either DJ Jeff Yen's mix or DJ Wedoe's mix, Wedoe's mix starts with progressive breaks and goes into regular Progressive. Check out www.frequency-8.com(down right now for rebuild) but check out Mystre & Dyloot label www.dancingspiritrecordings.com and you'll see what Cyber Trance is all about....check out Mars CD called Mysteries Within:

u have to understand what sounds cheesy to me is likely to be good to others because i'm very picky when it comes to acid sound. probably way too picky... i just don't like those simple patterns they use on tracid traxx. i like more complex acid lines, more intense ones, more saturated. hell yeah, that's probably what it's called... SATURATED ACID. pete skank's stay in bed forever is a good example of what i like

The Mars CD Mysteries Within, 2nd track is horrible! those tracks suck if their an indication of what cyber trance is, good god melodic in nature, amaturish in productions, cheesy i would put it, no idea how the label came up with cyber trance but cyber trance the name to me comes from japan and is popularised by artistes such as ayumi who came out with her trance albums named CyberTrance, from there japanese djs used that name for events out rave parties, hence the name is known in japan itself.

Jeff yen's taiwanese? been to 2nd Floor quite often when i was in taiwan for couple years, they dont even play trance there, half the time i hear progressive stuff with no trance elements, the other half are a mix of different dance genres. Also just heard jeff yen's mix, its progressive trance, but a little too boring for me, all one can do is groove to it on a dancefloor.

Erm next time try and read all postings.
There was only one person talking about sub-sub-sub-trance styles. The rest only commented on it.
And about "Who Gives A Shit" remark I can easily answer: The person who started the thread.
I am so happy for you that you were born with "The Only True Knowledge", but some ppl are not as lucky as you are and tend to ask help or throw in their opinions and even worse some people dare even to comment on those opinions (I know it a dumb concept, but what did ya expect from such low evolved beings).
Ofcourse we should have know that supreme beings such as you look down upon us.

Posted by Floorfiller on Feb-25-2003 16:51:

well come on now...its retarded to say that every little artist out there has his own sound...seriously everyone's like...

whoa dude...tiesto is uplifting trance...armin is super uplifting trance...dude ferry is supermumbojumbo uplifting trance...paul van dyk is hard super uplifting trance...dude trance is so cool and i'm cool just like trance is dude...

re:diff types of trance(cybertrance)

I know Im a bit late on this but since Im a fan of the F8/dancingspirit/skills crew I just wanted to post a few sents on this cybertrance issue
in response to "no idea how the label came up with cyber trance but cyber trance the name to me comes from japan and is popularised by artistes such as ayumi who came out with her trance albums named CyberTrance,"

----> Mars has been pushing this cybertrance sound very long before Ayumi began singing with Vincent De Moor and company on those remixes... The original Cybertrance sound of San Francisco was originally based on the old trance sound of Noom, Time Unlimited mixed with a bit of UK Hardhouse(Tinrib, Nukleuz etc) and some aspects of psy trance... basically cybertrance was a 'sound' that was supported by F8 to display a diverse sound that would take one on a journey through the various sounds of trance...

good examples of this sound are available on www.pureacidmixtapes.com or www.f8gear.com check out Mars' "May Peace Prevail" mixtape, Mars vs Mystre-"Vol 2"(a bayarea classic), Mystre-"Syrius Mystery" as prime examples of the original cybertrance sound...for tracklistings of these tapes check out www.ravepictures.net and click tracklistings...

while Mars & Mystre did go toward a more mainstream melodic sound for a while, Mars' new tracks on his upcoming CD entitled "Sonic Sunrise" due out this June, sound a lot more like the original sound and hold much promise... rumor has it that he has worked with the boys of Nuclear Hyde on some of those tracks... (other people that have worked with the F8 crew in the past have included Captain Tinrib, Nostrum, Oliver Lieb, and Steve Baltes)

I hope this clears up a little on the cybertrance issue, I can understand the arguments though because people argue the same thing even here in the bay area where the sound is pushed...

Don't bother: http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...genre+literally

You know, I spent many hours reading, listening to all sorts of electronic music, talking to fans, etc, in order to have a reliable result (which is why I'm working on it since December). Only because you don't know about the existence of genre it doesn't mean I made them up.

You don't know what death trance is? There are several websites and even threads here about it: before bashing anyone, do yourself a favour and do some research first

Yeah sure man. To get u started check out stuff from Chris Liberator. Absolutely hard fucking shit! There's a track 'Total Fucking Havoc' that goes absolutely off.
I managed to pick up an acid techno compilation called 'London Acid City'. This contains 100% hard acid techno. Absolute banging stuff
