sorrie any of u support or follow this..
but its just a random excuse for wannabes .. to me..
so yea.. wut u think?

I have been out partying for years...never really heard the phrase before now, but I always thought it was assumed. I mean why does anyone have to talk about it or say they are an advocate. Seems like people try to hard to fit in sometimes I suppose.

Maybe I am just too damn old!

like tu_fact said
PLUR is just an ideal
read his post, it's pretty much right on about PLUR

Posted by krusader on May-23-2001 19:31:

plur is just an idea... its great when someone actually practices it (not uses it an excuse to rebel or whatever)... i do definitely like the attitude you get at a rave more than just at some club where everyone is trying to get a piece of ass (*ahem* the silo *ahem*)... you bump into someone at motion, they turn around and smile at ya... maybe even ask your name... but at the silo its "hey you stupid cracka! lets fight!"

however, i did really wish that respect was practiced more in clubs... cause in some of them you get pushed and shoved and no one gives a fuck... rather lame

Blasted, how you work this quote system? argh

Anyhow.

*Infinity*
Immaturity. Before, WAY before The subculture got the catchy word PLUR, it grew and revolutionized itself by the philosophy in PLUR. The love for music, the love for people, the love for dancing, and above all, the love for great parties. Saying PLUR brought the immaturity with the people's misuse in the raves is bias, because you don't consider the attitudes in the demographics, regionally and internationally. That is why I say it is what made the subculture, overall, today, more good and better than it is bad.

Next..

Symbolic Personification. I look at the Rave as a living and breathing lifeform from the moment is born, like a baby. PLUR is its natural expression for life, it is the words of an ageless child - given freely for all. We, as individuals are given free will and part of the *child's* community, can use the philosophy to whatever desires we delight in it, even it is to misuse it. PLUR is not dead, it will never die, the words will cease to exist when the child is gone. No more music, more dancing and no more E hehe.. As if that's ever going to happen..

i think its more like a natural functioning of normal, moral conscious human beings, its called moral intelligence. you make it sound like someone needs to find a book to understand the simplistic idea behind it (theory) hehe

I only thing I find cheesy is the flyers' writing contents about PLUR in my hometown. Its so cheesy , it reeks like molds.

Yeah, not quite difficult I think

I totally agree on the fact that P.L.U.R. is kind of an utopic philosophy, sounds too good and almost noone really cares much about it. However i personally think that P.L.U.R. is a certain kind of attituda towards life, even though is not possible maybe tha attitude does it. Nope, it's not a religion of some sort (many people here think so or at least act as if it was) but it's nice.
Wannabee's? Do You consider yourself a wannabe?, i mean what makes a rever? the clothes? the E-tard attitude? the Music? that's up to every one, thus I've chosen not to judge. So I think it would be a nice idea if some people gave a definition of what a raver is. maybe there we would get to a statement wether P.L.U.R. is a feke concept or a real one.

That is just MY peronal opinion

I think U4ea said it best what it represents...
Why raves work so well with PLUR... Drugs, drugs and more drugs, cause c'mon now how many fights have you seen at raves compared to what goes on at bars and clubs and shit.... If everyone was drinkin beers or liquor all night at a rave, then for sure PLUR wouldn't exsist. I'm not sayin that PLUr only exsist because of drugs(uppers ), i'm just sayin that it's a high contributer.

its not just the drugs... there really is a different attitude when you go to raves... just like i said in one of my posts... goto the silo (local hip-hop club) and step on someones foot... see how long it takes to get into a fight with that person... plus you get pushed all the time without reason/apology... but when they have that place open for a rave... its just the difference in the attitude of the ppl that show up... everyone is so much friendlier, and try to have a good time together instead of being selfish

ill give you the simplest explanation possible... a raver is someone who attends raves

happy?

Posted by Tony Morello on May-24-2001 10:24:

i'm not a raver, i'm a party-kid...
raver and rave is a term used by authority figures and the press
it's party-kid, and party
