Yea, I was just not sure the server can handle the amount of traffic, that's why I decided to put up only this low quality rip. But now I checked the bandwidth stats, and apparently it didn't cause any problems. So here is a better quality sample (174 kbit VBR) for your listening pleasure. Enjoy!

Link to the HQ version (1:59, 2.47 MB)

Thanks man

Does the video stop at the end of this sample, or does it go on? And at the beginning, is there more sound before the sample starts? Would really like to hear a slightly longer version, so I can get an impression of the buildup

And, where did you get the video, if I may ask? Is it from a VHS?

Actually, no.
I don't think PvD sucks. I just don't like his style.

And before you ask, there is a difference.

WTF u prick.this track aint up to their normal standard.enough said.if they did stick to their normal style,i would love it as they are consistently good but this tune,a new direction for them disappoints me.ok?

so stop tryin to be the man of the moment and respect other peoples opinion...

Obviously the producers can't please everybody, there'll be always tracks that somebody doesn't like, that's the way it is. No need to argue about this.

The beginning is the same as in the video, I cut about the last 20-30 secs, as it's getting mixed with another track.

The video itself is nothing special anyway.. and I got it from the internet. #Section-E (irc.section-e.org)

How isn't this their normal style? This follows the "Never Look Back" format. Is that not normal? Never Look Back is what I consider their best production. And what Mr. Mystery said is 100% true so don't go trying to flame him for it.

Thanks alot for this! Do you have the full set that this is ripped from? I'd like to get my hands on it if possible...

well as i see it right now, zombikiller isn't quite bashing dumonde. not everyone will like a track, obviously enough, like bigdil says. i personally like everything that they've made.

oh yah also is this new track on the transmission anthem evolution, that dumonde mixxed with nervous?

And you could stop calling other people names without any reason, dick.

You can think whatever you want about Dumonde, I couldn't give a rats ass... and my comments weren't directed to you either, I meant in general.

Posted by kr00t0n on Mar-13-2003 21:43:

Nothing special, but still better than most of their recent stuff, but still not a track I would buy.

Release Trauma on 12" DAMMIT!!!

amen! tbh no disrespect or anything... but mr.mystery, you never seem to have any decent opinions on anything of late, you just seem to attack ppl for theyre opinions in things..... you say this is a great dumonde release?... ok fine... but i personally say this is nowhere near as good as the likes of 'never look back', which it aint... the whole point of being a big name DJ/producer, is to be the cutting edge of your sound, theres no room for 2nd place. so if dumonde have past it (which it seems thety r doing) then thats for them to sort out. as i sed b4, dumonde realeases of the lest year have been substandard, and no it aint the old 'oh they changed so they shit thing again'.... cos at the end of the day, if your gonna change styles, you gotta be sure your gonna still rip shit up in whatever style you take on.

to sum this maybe a case of slating an act because of change of style..... it pretty much is, but if dumonde were as good as they used to be, then they wouldnt have recieved a bad review for this tune.

also, i do agree with whoever sed it earlier, about the clip not being to the best quality, i agree.... possibly in a club this will blow me away, remains to be seen. ill give my true review then

peace

to be fair Jay, there stuff hasn't been sub standard at all....
maybe in your opinion, but in overall popularity, and the reaction it gets in clubs has been good....
the remix of then they start to dance, Mind Made Up (Not to everyones taste, but always gets a good reaction), remix of Symsonic just off the top of my head. The reaction from the crowd in the video when Human is played is amazing, and I'm willing to bet this is going to be big. As is the trancier B-Side + another new trancier track the guys have done....

Posted by TrAnCe CoNtRoL on Mar-13-2003 23:10:

well i like it, and my opinion is the only one that matters. case closed.

Wow, I'm surprised to see that coming from you. I don't really see how this sounds like a JamX & De Leon production because they're typically very hard. Yes this song has heavier bass than a typical DuMonde production, but I wouldn't go as far to say that its sounds like a JamX & De Leon mix. Am I the only one who thinks this song sounds like the "Never Look Back" format?

the synth is a twang twang twang jobbo, and not a flowing trancye product, the first 3 seconds sounds liek the melody is about to come in and it go all "dumonde" but it goes twang twang twang then the beat kicks in, which to me is jamx n de leon style! i expect more a hwolly trance track, then agin this is only the breakdown of the tune and not the whoel track, but the main lead is a jamx n de leon one IMO due to its "stabbyness"

Don't worry, you're not alone! Never Look Back did have a unique sound to it compared to the other productions and this one does kind of have that same vibe. Then again I'd like to hear it on something other than a live rip in order to be able to give it full judgement. I agree that it's better than most of the stuff they've released lately and can't wait to hear the full version!

yeh but then you think of jules and ave pearce filling clubs, its all relative, if your talkign about the trance scene, were talking about trance punter, ie people on here. i rememebr in 2001, everyoen was like "dumonde have to be best producers 2001"

i still like dumonde tunes, but i can say my favourite were from around that era and some 2002 stuff which was similar to their older stuff.

at the end of the day its THEIR music and what we say aint gonna make them change their minds, coz their music is making them a living and other people enjoy themselves. so u cant fault it really.

yup and they dont give two shits if you like it or not because there are tons of people that do. despite some of your reactions i bet this sells big time. so talk bad about it all you want while they rake in the money.

Yeah, yeah, join the club... maybe you should read what I write for a change rather than just jumping the "let's bash Mr.Mystery" bandwagon.

No, I said it was good from what I hear.
It's nowhere near Never Look Back or their best remixes but I like it nevertheless.
You have your opinion, I have mine. I like it, you don't.
My opinion is no better than yours.
Get it?

Spot on there, its the stabs that dont do it for me, I preferred the rolling melodies from their older productions, God Music, Can U Dig It, Mind Made Up all have stabs in the melodies, which I think detracts some of the energy from the tracks

Fools

This mp3 mix sounds a little muddy, u have to hear the original mix in it's glory to appreciate the high and low dynamics. Truly Dumonde are in a category all their own. And any fools who dare diss these Godly producers are complete morons. I dare any of you to make tracks that even come within a hairlength of what they produce. I don't think any of you understand what it takes to generate material of this calibur. Mixing, fx wise, experimentation, etc. So stop whining, you pretentiuous complainers, and show some respect for these trance gurus.

Roger Out,

G

lol, digging up a post that is nearly 2 years old. I don't think you're going to reach most people who posted in here, not sure how many of them are still around...
