Trust me Tek, it wasen't STRANGE WORLD, I know that tune way too much, it would've been too good to be true if Tiesto actually played that..I really forgot what the track was though.
SIDENOTE: The Ultra Music Festival Compilation will be released on PERFECTO RECORDS on Summer 2003. Mixed by a legend of our times.. mmm could it be Oakenfold himself?!?!?! ..
Also, if the Underworld set was recorded, and someone gets their hands on it, please be generous with me. I would love to get my hands on that. Thankies!!!!

Review
No Bs to the point
S and D , It was my first time seeing them spin togethor.
Digweed was great but sasha blew me away. He was amazing.
Tiesto, He took a super Dj drug before his performance b/c he was brilliant. Midway inca (NEW REMIX) Fucking was sick.
Saeed and Palash, I was messed up when I was in the tent but there music made me feel like I was in a jungle. Realy dark beats and calculated bass. = Awsome
Seeman/ Guy O'= Both threw down top notch performances. Ordel played a new remix of proceed
At this point we all got the bad news about the main stage being shut down, Well I took it ito my own hands to find away in.
Plan 1- Bum rush the fence with some new friends I met at the hotdog stand...... didnt work
Plan 2 Just wait in front of the gate till they let us in
Pvd, He was good. I mean ehhhh he's boring me latley. He played a new Nu Nrg Song that victor also played at his party, its called Supersonionc Way (not supersonic) or Apple sauce. HE closed with his new remix of Artic (WOOOOPY Dooda
) His Cd didnt skip it was the cd device that was messed up.
Sorry I didnt see all of you guys my cell was dead and I had no charger for it.

Guy Ornadel @ Ultra
Paul Van Dyk @ Ultra
I'll keep this as just an Ultra review because it's just too much to write about. Me & John got there at around 4. We had to go back to the hotel several times because they wouldn't allow backpacks and we had to choose the stupid line that didn't allow cameras. The Hybrid stage was close to the street so we heard some of their set while walking back and forth to the hotel. When we finally went into the park, Digweed was spinning. Digweed was OK, but Sasha was amazing. His track selection kept my attention and I didn't want to leave. I somehow found Arturo in the center of the Sasha crowd and then left to get some food and found Melissa & Tae.
OK, Tiesto was next. I don't know how to describe this. It felt like a scene from Gladiator. We worked our way towards the front of the Arena and the place was going absolutly nuts. If the park could hold 40,000 at least 10,000 people were in that arena. Everyone's hands were in the air and Tiesto just hammered us all. He played some new remix of Midway - Inca, and his extended Die Another Day mix. This will probably be the most memorable electronic music experience of my life.
After Tiesto I tryed staying for Darren Price and got really board. I ran over to see Acosta and caught the end of the Rabbit in The Moon set. I thought their music really sucked, but the show was entertaining. Acosta never showed up, so I tryed Underworld. Underworld was too packed and they stopped letting people inside so I joined John & Melissa for Dave Seaman. Seaman's closing song went on for about 12 minutes and then Guy Ornadel came on. His set was great. I remember hearing Third Earth, Proceed, and several other hard epic trance tunes.
Word of the night = MANGLED The state we all were in during that 2 hours between Ornadel and the end of PVD. Lots of crazy shit happened within that period of time. John can tell the story of his caveman-king kong-james bond stunts and his run in with Helsloot. PVD was more packed than Tiesto and they had the gates blocked. We got lucky and they started letting more people in 30 minutes after PVD started. The vibe once again was fantastic the crowd was going wild. Then at the peak moment of one of his newest tunes the CD hops off track and he couldn't fix it. It took a while for him to build the vibe back but he did it. It was the same tracks he played at Space the night before, but still a memoriable experience. He closed with a new remix of Artic. And this was real funny, they thank the wonderful mayor for holding the event. The mayor, then after lots of debate, agrees to let PVD do 1 more song. I think he encored with Animacion. The night was then over for us.
I heard 4 people ODed at Deep Dish @ Space afterwards. 3 dead and 1 critical.
I hope my story didn't bore anyone. Special thanks to Melissa for the room and Arturo for the ride. Between the both of you we saved like 200 bucks. Me & John went back to Bayfront Park on Monday and took some pictures of the aftermath. It looked like Attack of Water Bottles.

here's my review. already posted it in the fl forum, but hell, why not again?
alright, here's my review finally!!! sorry it took me so long, but i've been soooo burnt out from the weekend i haven't had a chance to type it up.
got to bayfront at about 11, parked in those parking spots in the middle of biscayne blvd and went over to bayside to get some food and find some tas. no tas were found. ah well. went into ultra at about 1, knowing damn well no one good was spinning for the first half of ultra besides rick west at 1:30 (who never even came on!!) and hybrid at 3:45. so i just sorta scouted everything out and met up with some tas! felipe, arturo, ilina, butterfly, jayd, freddy, matrix, and anyone else i might have forgotten, NICE TO SEE ALL OF YOU OUT THERE!!!
alright, now onto what i thought about the festival. i REALLY liked the way they setup all the stages, i thought they put each stage in the right place. each one had its own unique atmosphere and it totally rocked. there was good places to dance at each stage (not all on the grass like last year) and the sound system was good for each stage. unless you were in the middle of two stages you never heard any other music, which was a problem last year imo. but...i HATED how they did the time slots. seriously i was really disappointed until 6:30! the ONE good act i wanted to see before 6 was hybrid and i'm sorry, i think they just plain sucked. tooo damn slow for a festival like that.
so now lets move onto who i saw:
icey: only saw about 20 mins of this when it was raining, but i really wish i would have been in the middle of the crowd, cuz they were going nuts and icey was playing a nice ass set from what i heard. really wish i woulda seen more.
hybrid: i stayed for the whole set, but damn i was really hoping it would get better at some point. it was so damn slow. i just sat down against the fence and actually fell asleep for about 10 mins. i was REALLY disappointed with hybrid.
then i just sorta walked around till 6 when oaky came on.
oakenfold: i didn't even really want to see him, but to be honest, there was nothing better. but i have to give it up to him. he played a pretty damn good set. i was rocking out to oakenfold all the way to the left on the mainstage on the little grass area. was a chill ass spot.
tiesto: only heard about 20 mins of tiesto, he's really not too much to me these days. so i left to go see ritm
rabbit in the moon: now this really pissed me off. it took them like 15 mins to setup and then a fucking 10 minute boring ass intro. and then after two shitty ass songs i just left and went back to the mainstage to see underworld.
underworld: OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG OMFG x 10^54141251781515154
. SOOO AMAZING!!! the only thing that pissed me off is the crowd didn't really get into it. but i guess thats cuz they don't really know the signficance of underworld. anyway i was chillin out to underworld and got up and danced and went nuts like every song! they had me going. also met a HOT ASS girl from ohio during underworld, so we were talking the entire time and then we partied hard to pvd!
paul van dyk: the man i had been waiting for all day. yeah granted i saw him the night before for 6 hours, but i still wanted to see what he would drop for ultra. imo the best set from ultra yet again goes to pvd. he had EVERYONE going sooooo insane, and when he dropped clocks i DIED!!!! lets get ill also made the crowd go INSANE! and i was iding all the tracks for that hot ass girl. hehehe. its good to be a ta, knowledge helps impress people!
i won't tell you exactly what happened, but i'll just say thats one pvd set i will never forget
.
some other notes about ultra. VIP SUCKED. granted i got it for free, but it was just stupid. why would anyone pay $200 to get into an area where all you can do is buy a table for $1000. the only thing vip got me was getting in faster. and i didn't get searched. but i didn't have any drugs on me anyway, so i didn't even care!
i thought water was done very well this year. yeah $4 is still a lot, but its a hell of a lot better than last year!
overall, i'd have to say ultra 4 was better, but i still had an amazing time at ultra 5! so if there is an ultra 6 in miami, you know damn well i'll be there!!!
Im so pissed i didnt go
