yes, don't punch walls (i know at least 2 people who broke their fingers that way) plus, if you live in america, as dj trans former said, and my earlier comment proves, the walls are made out of freaking cardboard or something - you'll just have ugly holes in the wall.

you could try yoga. the breathing is key.
Download "William Orbit - Ogive". If you're still stressed after listening to that, your beyond help!

i used to get mad real easy and was stressed alot. sometimes to relieve stress i would hit things. i had to take anger management, now i just listen to some trance and think alot... smoke some cigs or weed.

I find going to the gym, running for about half an hour, then going to the sauna relaxes me and always relieves stress. Listening to trance whilst running obviously u kinda take ur emotions out when u run, speed up on beats and stuff like that, kinda takes u on a journey, plus its good living. Tho watch it, i heard that listening to music loud on ur stereo causes deffness in the future, so im pretty much fucked coz my mini disk is full blast for last 2 years, and yea!! im deaf in prob 2 more years, but oh well il always remember the journeys!!!

Trance. Or metal. When i'm really pissed and stressed i like to listen to some Mudvayne (shhh dont tell anyone). I like to yell along to the lyrics till my throat is raw. i dunno, helps me.
Sleep works for me, you forget your problems during sleep, sometimes you have wierd dreams, may be they mean something. I guess sleep works for minor problems, but if you are having major problems like loosing 100large then maybe sleep isnt your solution.
As someone else mentioned, breathing is a good idea. Just try to relax.
Shower or a jump into a jazcuzzi helps too, definately 
Whenever i start to get stressed out about something i think about what it is that is stressing me out.
most of the time you will realize that it something that really doesn't matter or something that you cant do anything about. then i stop worrying about it.
if it is something that i can do something about, then i fix the problem.
One of the best ways to relieve stress is to get hammered and go to a party with some friends. When you're drunk you don't remember all that shit that caused your stress and when you wake up the next day you have satisfaction from the good time you spend (and hangoves sometimes) 
Don't use it too much, once a week is ok
Lay down in your bed. Put on your favorite CD. Prog is better because you can meditate more to it. I recommend something dark like GU19. Trance is good too but you'll probably end up bobing your head.
Listen to it in its entirety. Listen to all the different sounds in each track and pay attention to the mixing. Let the CD take you on a journey. And if you pay enough attention, you won't feel your body because you'll be so into the music. This is relaxing.
Afterwards, take a walk in your neighborhood and take deep breathes.
BY the way, I have realized first hand that when you have sex regularly, you don't get stressed.
Of course, there are many ways to relieve stress.
