Vocals are good in a track like In My Memory or U Shine but the majority of trance tunes should be non vocal. Of course, this is my opinion (and I'm sure some of you share it) but I long for the days of pure instrumental tracks like Open Your Eyes (original), Viola remix by Armin, Voyage by Yahel, etc etc.

I guess that's why I can't wait for My Religion and Avalon.

Quit living in the past! It's 2003 and trance is changing.

I mentioned some time ago that 2003 will probably be a year of non-english/non-lyrical vocal trance, of the kind found in The Third Earth. Seems to be holding true so far, and I myself hope the trend will continue.

That aside, who could possibly not like The Third Earth? It's my top track of 2003 so far, and seems to be the same for many others. Priceless work that's not too much, not too little. In my opinion trance has been getting a bit too "busy" and complicated lately in sound. The Third Earth brings back a bit of simplicity and clarity.
