I have a phobia of having to dive into COLD/DARK bodies of water (pond, lake, pool etc)... I nearly drowned when I was small.

As for me, I am mildly scared of heights, although I never missed an opportunity to climb to the top of high buildings like Eiffel tower, etc. I don't have a problem flying with airplanes at all though, infact I usually enjoy flights.

I am very scared of spiders, but only if there's a possibility they'll touch me. I like watching them from a small distance though.

I'm also sometimes scared of the dark, but for some reason only if I'm alone, and in a closed space with which I'm very familiar with. I'm not scared of the dark at all when I'm with somebody or when I'm outside or when I'm in a closed space I'm unfamiliar with. That's wierd.

Hmmm...I suffer from an 'extreme case of' social phobia, which I assume most of you know what that is. Examples of things I 'suffer' from...

* scared to talk to famly members, get incredably (sp?) nervous
* scared to talk to even life long friends
* scared to talk to teachers
* scared to answer or pick up the phone
* scared to check emails, message boards in fear that i may have done something wrong and am being yelled at
* scared to leave the house (i've been outside maybe once a month, and thats usually to get the mail or whatever)
* scared to use public transportation
* scared to get out of my friends car (in fear that they are staring at how i get out)
* scared to walk down hallways at school
* scared to put up my hand at school
* scared to walk to the pencil sharpener
* scared to talk to any realitives
* scared to use public transportation
* scared to walk to my friends house for a ride
* scared to go up and find something to eat when my family is around
* scared to answer the door
* trouble keeping and making friends
* fear of parties, social events, malls and any other public / social places
* scared to talk to my neighbourr
* trouble walking ouside to bring in the garbage bin / recycling bin
* scared to cross streets because i think people in cars / trucks etc are staring, making fun of the way i walk
* scared to walk outside on sidewalks etc

Yeah..make fun if you want. But hell, I ain't gunna bother explaining why I'm this way..I'll end up having an anxiety attack and in the hospital again. ;x

As for me, I'm not really sure if it's a phobia but I'm not really afraid of anything but I really don't like needles and rats (i find rats disgusting)

people touching you? In what way? People you don't know or generally people?
I have a friend that everytime I touch her while I get to play around with her a bit, she gets like..don't do that I don't like being touched and things. And I was wondering about it. Its seemed quite strange to me. She doesn't shout or something, just saying so|

pretty much what i have... but i'm not scared, i rather feel uncomfortable... i just feel more content when i'm not noticed, when i'm by myself - invisible... attention is good, but it makes me feel uneasy... paranoia, yes, that too.

fear of relationships, comittment... slight fear of rejection, failure. fear of falling (not really heights, but like imagining myself falling down from a tall building). fear of alcohol, fear of drugs, slight fear of touching. the list goes on, i guess.

theorpy. theres lots of things that trigger paranoia...once u find out the triggers u need to either avoid them or just get over it and move on.

i have a fear of centipedes...im deathly afraid of them lol!

my #1 fear is i am afraid of squirrels. when i was little and i used to go and play in the backyard on my swingset my dad would say do not go near the squirels they have teeth like pins and will bite your skin off, so i would see a squirrel and run in the house and cry. any time i see a squirrel now (and i am 25) i still get scared and feel this need to run away..

anyone here been to central park and noticed the squirrels are so tame, that drives me crazy.

i have tons of other fears- nose bleeds, blood tests, blood makes me pass out.

anxiety is a fear of mine, i am scared of anxiety attacks.

I'm the same way. When I saw little, I watched "The Muppet SHow" and was so freaked out that my eyeballs started to sweat. Fortubately, I grew up, and realized it was fake.

Another real phobia I have is claustrophobia - fear of enclosed spaces.
