They need defense. And I don't think anyone is untouchable, with the exception of Mitchell and Bosh. Every one of those other players are good offensive players but when it comes to defense, the team needs a lot of work.

Raps win a close game. Finally.

At least the Raps play a lot of close games. Too bad they lose most of them.

Mr. Colangelo, max money for Ben Wallace if you have to.

I think you're right.
Unless Wallace is bored with playing with Pistons for some reason.

Who else is out there for free agent though?

no one special...

Joel Przybilla, Nazr Mohammed, Nene...no one who can step in and plug that gaping hole at C and grab a ton of boards.

While I can't see Detroit letting Ben get away...I think that if they don't resign him before he's a free agent, the Raptors should loudly offer max money.

I dunno. I happen to think Nazr Mohammed is underrated. Yeah, he's not very flashy and he's a bit inconsistent at times, but I thought he was having a solid year last yr (and yr before) in New York until he got traded to SA and his mins went down. A bit of Antonio Davis type of player who can work the boards and make things a bit difficult inside. IMO a good pick up for a bench player.

Problem is how much will the Raps have left to sign both Bosh and James if Wallace does sign for Toronto...

bigben is the heart and soul of the pistons. and look at joe dumars, he hasn't even made a fuss about resigning ben. by giving away milicic for the expiring contract of (was it kelvin cato? i forgot, some nobody), he allows himself enough cap space to resign ben. it is now just a formality. don't even dream of him coming to toronto

^^^ very true...the Darko dump was clearly for the purpose of ensuring they could resign Ben.

the *only* way I see him coming here is if he (for whatever reason) wants a new challenge and the opporunity to mentor young guys like Bosh, Charlie V, Arujo, etc. He's also have a bigger role on this team than in Detroit in the sense that I think the Raps would run more plays through him. The rest of the team is so bad on the boards, he could easily grab a dozen per game here

Nazr would be a decent fit...so would Przybilla...but neither are the imposing centre the Raps need...but who cares...as long as the guy can rebound because the raps are pathetic on the boards. If we could get Nazr for a small price sure...If they can't attract a major free agent in the off season, I hope they save some of the $$$ for next year.

Good 4th quarter by raps to win by 10 against Philly after being down 11 in 3rd.

Derrick martin with 15pts and 13 assists.

Where did that come from?

Entertaining game. Raps did make it close a few times, but Detroit's ability to stick most open shots made the difference. Bosh had a bad game though. Pistons just smothered him and he couldn't get anything going.
