good shoes go a long way for comfort

I just read this post. I'd be careful when messing with your sodium levels. Sodium is very important for your body. When on a low sodium diet, it's a very good idea not to drink a lot of water due to the fact that water intoxication can occur more easily. Be very careful.

I'd guess that he was relating to the fact that his mum maybe took too much sodium before, and was cutting down. Any overweight person I know, I always see them putting way too much salt on their food...I'm guessing moderation is the key

I'm going to do cardio right now. I might be in the best athletic shape of my life right now, or very close to it, but not neccesarily the best bodybuilding shape. Maybe I'll post pics when I get back.

Whatve you been doing @@

also, ANG...if your knees are fooked...running isnt for you any more. if its just tendons you can do exercises, but the grinding sounds like you either built up scar tissue inside the knee or lost cartilage in a needed spot...braces are for hydrostatic pressure and position, and wont help.

go see a doctor!

well it's she not he but yeah i'm not saying eliminate sodium i'm just saying limit salt intake. i think of it like osmosis, like your body wants to equal out sodium levels so holds more water weight than necessary.

salt makes you retain water. everyone stfu

I havent been able to run since the middle of college because I have bad knees (not in every day life, just when I run). I played fastpitch in highschool and was not very kind to them back then, and now I cant run for more than five minutes without feeling like theyre going to grind away to nothing.

So my question has two parts I guess. Has anyone found a wrap or a brace that helps and isnt too restrictive? And the second part is can I do resistance exercises to help the problem (I have MDI in my shoulder and that used to help A LOT).

Im thinking that maybe I just need to ween myself back into it, maybe with the c25k program or something.

What do you guys think? Im getting sick of the elliptical.

run in a pool

Thought Id bump.

Im 184 in the morning now. Its been about 3 months since the hep took me down to 155 lbs:

this is from the party camera so the quality is shite!

im starting the slimming process trying to get down to 175 or so for summer cuz the abs are hellish and I generally look soft.

Im starting to feel balance between chest and back and upper body and lower body. Been focusing on growing everything not just trying to get a HUGE this or that. Still a lot of work to do, but im happy ive recovered haha. This winter ill probably be hitting 195-200 but for now my goal is 175 for start of summer and hopefully from here on out the pictures will become more and more defined >.<

goddamn, i was actually looking for this thread too.

I took our Physical Fitness Test for the AF the other day.

# of pushups in one minute: 62 [i could have actually done more, i think, but that is the max amount pointwise, so i stopped]
# of situps in one minute 55 [same as above]

1.5 mile run time: 12:24. i used to run faster back in college [lol, like that was *so* long ago]...usually around 11:00 flat or less. my fastest time evar was 10:14 at that was at Field Training.

Waist measurement - 31"

Total score, 87.5 pts out of 100. i was pretty happy with it. passing is 75.

Posted by Orbax on Apr-27-2007 03:25:

uhmmm it was getting off of anti-depressants, lowering drinking quotient and increasing protein shakes. Im too freakin poor to afford noxplode and stuff so I just steal it from masonious before hard workouts.

lots of sleep, and very intense workouts. Masonious and I watched Pumping Iron and then had a couple crazy work outs. You realize how much of a bitch youve been when you see someone shoulder pressing what you max at on bench..

been mixing it up a lot lately too..

dunno I feel that ive just been eating more and working out harder

I'm training 3-4x a week with offdays in between. My goal is to gain mass overall. Went from 147 (after a break) to 163 (current weight) in 2.5 months. My schedule looks like this:

Back/Bicep

Chest/Shoulders/Tricep

Legs/Abs

I think I've hit a plateau so I'm wondering, should I continue doing this, change my types of excersie (ex: going from machine to free weights) or comepletely redo my schedule?
Input appreciated, thanks

Posted by nrjizer on Apr-27-2007 05:19:

I managed to gain like 6 pounds in the last week and a half (all muscle, since I also run and eat well). I'm feeling pretty good about that.

Btw, I'm interested in the NoXplode stuff, but does all of it have creatine in it? I don't really need/care for creatine, from what I've heard of it (just adds water bulk).

Posted by sugardevill on Apr-27-2007 05:51:

woo weee

training has been going great guys and gals!!!!

Off day tomorrow, thank gawd!!

thanks to all who have voted for me on the online swimsuit contest that I have been spamming TA and myspace about hehehe

so apparently some fat burners can cause a raise in cortisol!!

hmmmm

on that note 6 cups of black tea is said to lower cortisol

I think im gonna switch to black tea for awhile and try it out!

Posted by Orbax on Apr-27-2007 06:16:

i dont think creatine is needed for gains.
