Listening to the Bart Van Wissen set, although I LOVED his prog productions in past years, this is a real pleasant deep house set so far. Definitely recommend it.
Yeh I know what you mean, I still like to try and get a bit of oldskool feel in my tunes sometimes but there arent many artists doing it nowadays, all very droning sounding electro which is fine but isnt quite as fun is it.
(Slightly off-topic & I dont have a link): here's a suggestion for a funky set, which kinda old, but (imo) timeless, therefore worth listening to, and should be on everyone's HD who adores this thread:

02. Syntax - Love Song (Skylark Mix)
03. Basement Jaxx vs. Danny Tenaglia - Fly Life vs. Music The Answer
04. Deep Dish vs. The Doors - Stormy Dance (Tommy Boy Remix)
05. Deep Dish - Flashdance (Raul Riconi Remix)
06. Filipe & Nicholas Bacher - Adventures Of Cronas EP
07. Dylan Rhymes - Unknown
08. London Residents - Bad Magic
09. Valentino Kanzyani - Burros Eslovenos
10. Cronix - 4 Da Underground
11. Three Drives - Greece 2004 (Chus Remix)
12. Chus & Ceballos - Low Frequencies

btw, i recommend you all to take a nice hot bath with... Crazy Penis.

User Reviews: scoundrel, Apr 12, 2004 A Nice Hot Bath With… sounds like a sleazy come-on and that’s what it is. But what could you expect from a band with the name Crazy Penis? This album has some of the smoothest mellow house this side of your bathtub and it doesn’t let itself get worked up in a lather. Instead, it encourages you to soak in the grooves and rinse in pure funk. |
bought that a while ago. it's cartman in a fake robot suit
