I am not trying to be an ass, it's a simple FACT, Ultra has given Tiesto and all the other artists, whatever they wanted. Which means $$$$$, Set Times, Stages to be exclusive. I am just trying to point this out to help out.

It is a hard year for all the trance people, (I am pretty happy), I would do some research and be on the look out for parties that Say Huge Special Guest, etc. Kind of like what Nikki Beach does on the Mixology Closing party with Carl Cox (He is never announced).

But NO Tiesto night and NO Deadmouse night.

I am having a hard time deciding between Flashover @ Cameos on Thursday or Toolroom Knights and Viva vs Cadenza on the terrace @ Space.

I would do Flashover than head to Viva vs Cadenza for after hours but god knows how much they would charge at that time at the door.

WMC has an insane lineup over all...true its very house/electro/techo this year...but I think that just lets you know that the conference is keeping up with the sound of today...and trance is not the forerunner that it once was in the industry...there are still some MEGA trance stars that are gonna be there and I know they will be amazing...and over all I think that every subgenre is represented well...ONE LOVE BABY...I love it all!!!

im sorry. its not that you may not be right. but personally i am not going to believe this until wmc is over and tiesto didnt play his own night. its just unfathomable to me that he wouldnt play alone somewhere.

doorn isnt coming. as well some others im sure. so i think thats the culmination of a lot of animosity here since eddie halliwell, eric prydz, and marco v also arent, as well as no sander on the terrace and what not.

Actually there is just as much diversity this year as there was last year.. Maybe even more! I'm seeing a ton of Breaks events, Every type of House music is being showcased, Haven't seen any details on indie dance events but I'm expecting the fool's gold event to be announced soon.. FSOB & Viram have teamed up & from what I hear from my dubstep homies, if you want to have a Dubstep WMC, it can be done... So I disagree with you on this years diversity..

I think doing something different from your norm is what the WMC is all about.. I think everybody should step out of their bubble & check out at least one event they probably wouldn't normally attend... There is a ton of underground talent in Miami this year...

FSOB and Viram is nothing new.

This is the first time they are actually together on the same night which is indeed a sign of the times.

My first Viram was 2003 @ Soho right after ultra.. . FSOB was going on back then as well just not the same night. That one was always on a weekday and I was in highschool at the time.

Gotcha, I hope he plays!

Now whats the deal with M-nus @ Karu and Y

What Day?

Posted by HALO555 on Feb-06-2009 18:40:

Yeah, what's up with Minus at Karu-y ?

So I wonder if this will thin out the crowd just a little at AM only the next night or vice verse. I usally try to go to different venues during WMC. As nice as a venue Karu-Y is I don't want to go there two nights in a row.

What's wrong with Nocturnal and what else is going on there now ?

Minus finally says good bye to its second home in miami, Nocturnal and moves to a new venue. They are moving on up like the jeffersons, moving to Karu & Y. Definitely an upgrade. And so even though we all had a great time a Nocturnal, now we sing! So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, good night.

Interesting... What day are they going to have it there? Seems like Karu is booked Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I cant see m_nus on Wednesday or Sunday. Maybe they will share it with Anjuna on Thursday like they did with Nocturnal? I would like to see multiple rooms for m_nus like a couple of years ago at Pawn Shop

Yeah for shure they have both been going for a while.. just saying it's a great teamup of shows.. Last year for instance tons of people had to decide which to go to as they were both the same nite...

hmmmm i dont knwo how i feel about the move from nocturnal to karu

Kind of impossible to do so when this city is swamped with minimal and tech house wannabe DJs year round, and WMC is no different ... .. ...

so it looks like hawtin & co will be on the karu & y terrace on the night of the 26th while above and beyond and their crew will be inside. Because tickets for Above + Beyond went on sale there will be a seperate cover / entrance for Minus? Also how big is the terrace there?

Hey so I'm trying to catch Steve Lawler at a show on Thursday during the daytime, his website doesn't list anything but I saw this show...

3/26/09: Remix/Beatport Pool Party w/ Adam Beyer, ATFC, A-Trak, Boys Noize, Damian Lazarus, Dennis Ferrer, Hatiras, Johnny D, Josh Wink, Laidback Luke, Louie Vega, Marco Carola, Olivier Giacomotto, Radio Slave, Robbie Rivera, Sebastian Ingrosso, Steve Angello, Steve Lawler, The Martinez Brothers, Tiga & Proxy, Tommie Sunshine @ National Hotel

Beatport lists the party as: Thursday 26th March - Sunday 29th March 2009, 3pm - 10pm

So i guess my question is will Lawler be performing on thursday?
