I'd actually be more interested in listening to TA interpretations of genres like hip-hop, new wave, or indie rock than anything else, to be honest.

Dear god! Hip-Hop is one of the few genres that are even more atrocious than Minimal.

Only if you stick to mainstream stuff.

Trust me, there are things that are far, FAR worse. Take this for example:

I have no idea wtf that is, and I don't want to know.
At least that stuff, unlike HipHop, doesn't get played at clubs I go to.

Btw, round two will probably start some time next week.

That my friends, is "reggaeton". The worst piece of shit ever to originate from Latin America.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reggaeton

I happened to be in Panama City the day that particular video I posted was being filmed. Right in front of the hotel I was staying. You can actually see it in the background during some shots. At 0:21, it's the purplish-yellowish tall glass building in the background.

I had to endure a couple hours listening to that bullshit on a Thursday night. I was on the 11th floor, and while it was hard to distunguish, the damn music was still audible.

I don't know if you've noticed, but that actually is a reggaeton version of The Police's "So Lonely".

Posted by gehzumteufel on Apr-27-2009 03:31:

Well that is a piece of shit style of music.

Indeed, you guys should consider yourselves lucky to have hip-hop as the general style of music that is played at most parties. This is the shit we have to endure.

Even better than Sting, imo.

...is exactly what some people say whenever I point out the blatant rip-off.

To be fair, not all reggaeton sounds like THAT

Just wanted to know if anyone had any feedback on my Tech Trance mix. Would really like to know what people think of my mixing of a genre that's completely different than what I like to mix

Really enjoying the nu school breaks mix atm.

Also have been really enjoying the (hard) techno mix for the past ages. Very solid, will definitely be on my permanent listening list.
