piknic is an awesome brand with nowhere to go but up (i will even say that the brand has eclipsed playground who can't sell tickets to events to save their life...bal en blanc excluded of course). That being said, this year's lineup lacked the "ooomph" of the previous years to me.

just because i won't make the long trek for acts that do not interest me, does not mean no one else should.

better?

I think Piknic probably lacks new oomph. To most of us, Piknic is no news, and most of us have been in the scene for a while already...

5 Piknic day left! I love the current weather, warm and sunny!

Posted by jester on Sep-01-2010 21:05:

I am there monday.

I'm doubling for HAKIIIIIIIIIIIIM and Sascha Funke & Ellen Allien.

Sascha Funke gets my vote for best Piknic set last year (only because I missed Joris).

Posted by WittyHandle on Sep-02-2010 07:11:

Apparently you missed Lee Burridge too... tied with Joris last year imo.

I didn't know of Joris Voorn until last summer when I randomly decided to go to Piknic all hung over just cuz it was a nice day.. I was feeling like ass and we were just chilling by the water close to the stage and when Joris's set started, we all simultaneously got up and HAD to move.. man what a fucking awesome set, I still get the chills that take me back to that day when I hear his Beach Kisses remix.

Yeah That's a Tough Call' Lee Burridge's Set was up there as well!
Both days were perfect weather...I also really Enjoyed Ricardo Villabobos' & Richie Hawtin...the weather wasn't as Nice...but man...
Those Pik Nik's were Quality...
