lol i could use some bloating. It increases strength as well temporarily. makes you work harder and i found that my apetite also increased.

I usually lose the 10 lbs i gain off a cyle once im off it though.

remember dropping 3 purple K's at a lifting competition and i lifted more then i had ever lifted before lol

if u drink that 3 times a day and you work out - let's say - every other day, you'll probably just gain sloppy weight.

thats not true at all. the proper amount of protein for muscle rebuilding is a lot more than you'd think. even if you were to magically land over that mark for your own body (which 3 shakes alone won't do), you'd end up just getting rid of it and not storing it.

and how many times do people need to say creatine does nothing? it adds water weight, which increases the amount of room the muscles in your body have to grow. it makes it noticeably different recovering from workouts. you'll notice that you actually have to do more reps or heavier weight in order to be sore the next day, because your muscles rebuild easier.

kind of a weird request here... im not a fitness freak or anything.. but its high time i started doing something with my health.

basically.. i have drank beer pretty much every night for the last 10 or 11 years since i left school... i dont do any working out or any major excercise anymore. im not fat, but i do have a bit of a beer belly. i used to work out a lot when i was about 16-17 [10ish years ago] i hada great body then, not massively muscular, but a nice set of abs, toned arms, and quite a protruding chest. but since then i have not excercised a lot, and the drink is doing to my body what drink will do, but over the last few weeks i have stopped drinking through the week [which has been hard for me]

my stomach is not big, but theres a little bit of fat around there, also my chest went from being quite muscular to flacid, i dont have manboobs yet, but lets say my chest still sticks out like it used to, but its not hard anymore.

my basic problem is.. i have panic disorder, and one of the things that sets an attack off is not being able to control my heart rate... if i DO do excercise i.e treadmill or something, my heart rate goes up, and it feels like i cant control it, which equals having a panic attack... but i want my fitness and my physique to develope again... so basically im just wondering, what is the best thing i can do, to get back on top of things to trim myself up, and also build up some decent muscle without exsert too much cardially as that gives me problems

Running long distances in an easy pace is a good way to burn fat. It doesn't raise your heart rate too much, either, if you do it properly. A watch (or any other device) combined with a chest band can be a very useful tool in this.

There are downsides, though:
* You don't start burning fat from mile 0.
* Running slowly takes discipline and patience. It's easy to go too fast.
* It might take a while before your body is adapted to running for multiple hours.
* It doesn't do anything for muscle build.

well i started working out 4-5 times aweek. and my plan is to drink it 30 mins before a workout and then right after. and finally once before i go to sleep.

the only gains your gonna get are big shits lol

try to get most of your protein from real food take a shake once or twice a day.. most importantly after the workout

+1 im not taking any meds for it now.. i am taking milk thistle everyday to help my liver and 5htp to perk me up from day to day [wether it works i dont know] also i know any form of excercise raises my heart rate, i can do some things.. but anything too strenuous like running up a lot of stairs really fast would mess me up.. so you reckon just start of with some long walks, then perhaps build up to some mild jogging, then running

Nope, general basis is consume 1-1.5g/lb body weight for the day. Taking it after a workout is a perfect time, but it's consumption overall for the day that matters.

I just did free weights for the first time since high school... just a normal benchpress only 50lbs+bar and it didnt kill me while doing it, but my arms feel like they have lead hands now...

Its bad this last week I have slipped into a stagnant trend... I haven't ridden since saturday and done nothing but sleep really. I am not constantly tired cause I dont exert energy!

Also its too damn warm out!

i dont think peopel should just be downing protein to get that 1 to 1.5 per lb

the protein from regular food is a much better source, just use a supplement as such a "supplement" for getting those extra grams you missed from your meals

oh i plan on it. the shakes are of course for the added protein as you say. ill cut itdown to 2 then. before and after the workout.

ur first step is to control or reduce ur anxiety b/c if it acts up when ur heart rate goes up, then its meaningless to do any exercise which can provoke panic attacks.. but i;d say long walks and definitely caloric control if u want to lose fat.. eat less than u use up. so eat about 500 calories less a day and walk

Just hit the weights. Thankfully I haven't lost much strength if any... maybe some gains.

well no, this is for weight training. As for protein quality, whey has a much higher BV (Biological Value) than most other protein sources.

right but your only getting protein protein per say.

with other proteins your also getting nutrients as well.

The point im making is that I wouldnt cut down on teh protein your eating in diet to simply supplement it with whey.

I never said that either, and I agree. I haven't even used whey in about 4 months now, but I have been getting enough through food. This isn't always the case with most people who can't be home as much as I have been able to, to cook good meals. It's hard to bring enough food around with u wherever u go, hence why it's a perfect supp.

I don't think you can really bulk so much on it as most of the guys on there are fatter then cutting. I personally would prefer a real gym (As i am kind of skinny). I haven't tried it out but if you don't have access to a gym it would be great to do.

See that's the thing. Everybody on the infomercials fits the "I'm fat" market. And most if not all of those people were athletes at some point in their youths (or they were in the military, etc). I'm curious to know how this works for somebody my size who used to play sports but never competitively. Although from the PDF guides that I've "acquired" there's different phases for weight-loss, muscle development and just general conditioning. I'll have the video's soon so I'll try it out and if there's some positive results you guys will definitely know about it.

Also a question about protein shakes. Do all of them have the same effect on your body or are some different than others? EG. One is geared towards losing weight while the other focuses on putting on mass. I tried some Whey Protein shit and I lost a lot of size. Or is that normal for someone who's not in any real shape?

That's normal and good. Don't let your routine go out of wack. If you have to just do a light legs day if ur still feeling recovery pain. Keep tabs on your butt. I guarantee in a couple of weeks you'll see more bulge. Remember, deep squats.

stairs ftw

i've acquired some shape

intense cardio+legs+ASS
i fucking love doing the stairs

thanks for the support habibi <3
i've given up on squats though... I don't need a Laqueesha ass
two little muffins will suffice

Lunges are supposed to be really good for the ass.

Mmmmmm........ass....
