Just a minor irritation, nothing super crazy.

I REALLY don't like that name though. Even Pearl was more masculine.

I have gotten to the point that I am willing to do anything to get out of my contract with Bell. I had a discussion with my coworkers, and apparently if I tell my cell phone company that I am moving overseas, they have no choice but to cancel the contract? Sounds sketchy, and I still think I would have to pay to do that.

"Curse" sounds like the name of a tampon or maxi pad to me

Quad band doesn't make a different when it comes to receiving good reception.

Arguable. You could say that in Europe because they don't use the 850 band at all, but NA carriers do. It's lower frequency than the others, so in theory it is better in rural areas, but I've heard people say that because of the lower frequency the 850 bands penetrate buildings better too. From personal experience, my quad-band Nokia gets much better reception than my tri-band SE ever did.

Probably cause my phone is motorola. I only got this for the quad band. I definitely need a new phone and way to break my contract too [fido].

I forked over $240 to get out of mine with Bell. Screw em (for now).

Switching my D820 from quad-band to 850/1900 makes no difference in reception at all, of course, since we don't have 900/1800 here. It'll come in handy while I'm in Europe, though.

And, the new hotness:

HTC Touch

ummm.. not likely
The Pearl is named after a tampon that is out on the market currently. I think Margs already covered that in this thread earlier

Cale: You can buy EU sim cards over in Holland so it will end up costing you less. I learned the hard way last year when my bill was an additional 200$ for 1 week in NL with everyone there.

Of course, I'm buying a Vodafone SIM as soon as we land. My Rogers SIM is staying here in Canada.

I would have never thought that SEricisson phones would be so popular. I've heard a few good reviews about them.
