GO JETS!!

It's not impossible for them to make the play-offs... just take a look at their remaining opponents:

Chicago
Houston
@ Green Bay
Buffalo
@ Minnesota
@ Miami
Oakland

at least in NY, such a good win by the Jets will likely get overshadowed by such a bad loss by the Giants

Posted by King Ecnal on Nov-13-2006 19:31:

Jets fans should be a little more excited, ONE game out of the AFC East lead... but then again, this is the closest you will get... so I guess the outlook isn't so good afterall...

Gibbs said that he'd keep brunell as long as the skins had a shot at the playoffs, so maybe we'll see some Campbell now.

Although, Saunders offense is all about timing on routes and hotreads, so the ability of a skins QB to scramble and buy time probably isn't going to help us that much. Thats why Vick seems never able to hit his WR's in their west coast offense system, because they have to abandon their routes when their QB scrambles. As a result he passes to the TE all the time, so I think Cooley will be Campbells best friend.

We were 5-6 last year and made the playoffs, now we're 3-6... haha whats the slogan now 7 in a row or we don't go? I just hope we beat the Eagles at home, b/c their asshole fans always flock to FedEx, and I do hate Eagles fans sooo very much.

Looks like you all got your wish. Jason Campbell confirmed to start in Tampa this week. I'm curious to see how well he does too actually.

im happy, i just wanted a change, thats all.

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Nov-14-2006 00:32:

with this change, could we also see a change of quarterbacks in Minnesota ? Brad Johnson heading for the bench, and vern's favorite man Brooks Bollinger going to step up, and bring Minnesota out of mediocrity ?

There is like 5 good quarterbacks in the league (Brady used to be one ha ha) and like 5-8 others who can get you a championship if you have all the other parts filled. The rest is a pure crap shoot, pretty damn sucky everywhere else. I mean there is a lot of crappy QB's in the NFL.

couldn't agree with you more. I can't throw the ball farther than 15 yards, am shorter than all the defensive ends and linebackers, yet am probably capable of playing the quarterback position better than about 20% of the NFL quarterbacks right now. All you got to do is study video tapes, work on your throws with your wide receivers and backs, and learn how to read defenses.

so that means i can play QB in the NFL too? i mean, i can throw about 35 yards or so, maybe 30, i dont know.

you can probably do a great job in Oakland. better than Walter and Brooks. All you need to do it hand it off to Jordan a couple of times, and when the defense bites on the run, just throw it up in the air to Moss, and he will take care of it for you. As long as you keep Moss happy, he will score touchdowns for you.

1st Tier:

Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Carson Palmer
Marc Bulger
Drew Brees
Donovan McNabb

2nd Tier (can be almost there but need more seasoning, used to be good, or just semi-decent. However, they need some help in producing)

Phillip Rivers
Eli Manning
Michael Vick
Matt Hasselbeck
Jake Delhomme

The rest can eat my a$$

Argue if you will for Shitna or McNair or something but you're gonna be talking to the hand.

you can take away Vick and Delhomme's names from 2nd tier, because i don't give Vick any credit as a "quarterback", but rather than a "slash" type (invented by Kordell Stewert). I think Atlanta should start Schuab, and move Vick around, either at quarterback, running back, or wide receiver.

as for Delhomme, i see him as the new Jeff George. Yeah yeah , he brought the panthers to the super bowl. That's only because the defense was pretty good that year. but i see Delhomme as a guy who has a big gun, and that's about it.

3rd Tier (WOULD be 2nd Tier guys, but they are STILL potential ONE AND DONE QB's...)

Phillip Rivers
Vince Young
TONY ROMO
Charlie Frye
Alex Smith

4th Tier (For teams who need a TRENT DILFER... so they just need to fill the QB roster spot...)

Brett Favre
Steve McNair
Big Ben - Captain of 4th Tier...
Brad Johnson
Jake Plummer

everyone else is a anybody's guess... I just hope Matt Leinart succeeds in the league... screw the seahawks...

Posted by Member of X on Nov-14-2006 03:05:

No way Eli is in the first tier if you watched yesterday's game. He looked lost. Skipping passes off the turf. Hurrying throws. He's not there yet. He'll get there but not yet. 11 Int's for him so far already. Drew Brees has the same TD's and only 7 Td's and has led his once pathetic franchise to new heights.

I understand the hesitation of Marc Bulger HOWEVER he has 13 TD's, 2 Int's this year, 2515 yards which equates to 279 yards a game so far, with a completion % of 64.2%. Rams defense is utter garbage and that's not his fault. He's been pretty damn awesome except for yesterday.

Posted by King Ecnal on Nov-14-2006 03:11:

ELI is the real deal... so thats why...lol... he had ONE bad game last night... sure he throws PICKS, but he scores too... and he has to throw to Plaxico... last time I checked, Plaxico is over-rated... or just plain SUCKS...

Bulger... dunno, I'm very hestitant... if the guy never had those past injuries, I might think different, dunno... and having a losing record does not help...

Brees is Brees... very consistent, but I just cannot let myself put that guy in the first tier of ANYTHING, he's not HoF QB material... sorry....

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Nov-14-2006 05:01:

*yawns*
that was a boring game.

lol don't take your Madden 07 skills for real

why does everyone hate Big ben? Is it considered cool to do so? And is that the only reason?

I think he's atleast 2nd tier QB material. Even with his injuries this season he hasnt done too bad a job. He'll be first tier next season.

Did you see Moss' performance against the seahawks?

A retarded child would of been able to catch the balls Moss dropped.

I hate him, because he is exactly that... a body to fill a roster spot... yeah he can AIR itout... but is he accurate? NO, he just throws long balls...wherever they land, NO ONE KNOWS...

He's just a fuckhead, and I hate the Steelers... a running team that implanted a QB, and he got lucky...

Oh, and maybe the fact that the jerkoff decides not to wear a helmet when riding his big wheel...

In all honesty, its a very stupid question to ask... how can you NOT HATE Big Ben???

Posted by Member of X on Nov-14-2006 19:41:

Randy Moss is garbage, a shell of his former self. Dude has serious attitude problems. I hate him.

I'm neither here or there on Big Ben. I was kind of sickened that the Steelers won the Super Bowl last year but other than that, I could care less. He thinks he can get away with the same chucks and scrambling that he did last year but he obviously can't. Based on current performance, no 2nd tier for him.

I'll agree about Brees and Bulger can be 2nd tier but no way is Eli first tier. I have him on one of my fantasy teams and he's been pretty poor for 5-6 weeks. Sorry, it wasn't just last week. I have to see every Giants game living in NYC and he is NOT 1st tier.

Posted by Spartan on Nov-14-2006 20:38:

wow you guys are forgetting that Ben is only 24, that he probably had the best rookie numbers of any QB ever, and that he has a career 64% completion rate, and his win-loss numbers are still hall of fame pace level.

He goes in and out of the hospital a few times and has a poor start to this season as a result (not to mention not having hines ward for a while) and you guys forget what he was doing the last two seasons. Yah he plays for a running team but you measure the skill of a QB on his ability to throw in 3rd down situations, and Ben is one of the best at doing that. He is proven in the clutch, and can put a game on his shoulders like when he played Cinncinati in the playoffs last year.

Also its not that QBs are getting worse, its that NFL defenses are getting more and more refined and better at stopping QBs as the years have gone forward. Much faster so than the QB position has been growing, and as a result the NFL has been trying to take every precaution to protect its QBs with all the new rules about how you can hit them this year. It seems like every sack is a personal foul.

agreed. he goes on the radio once a week and bashes his team, thats messed up. Did you guys know he lives in a retirement community b/c he has the same sort of social anxiety that Ricky Williams has.

Also, would you rather have had the Seahawks win the super bowl? Ugh, I was happy a team that earned it won it.
