Sharks pulled off another sloppy win. Jackets played really well, but gave up some critical PP goals. Still a fun game with some nice saves by Nabokov. Its good to see him doing well after that 7 game injury.
the sharks are just winning every way possible this year it is crazy. I want to call them Stanley Cup favorites, but there is a little nagging voice in the back of my head that tells me they will lose to a lower seeded team. I can't explain it, because they are good from the goal out, yet something still bugs me about them.

I think a surprise will come out of the west this year for an odd reason. no detroit, anaheim or sj. the odds are against this for sure, just call it a hunch.
possibly, but I dunno who it'd be. teams like calgary go on the odd run but don't seem to be able to string it together long-term, but could easily turn over someone in the playoffs.
I still predict the following 8 for the final 4 in each though
east: washington, montreal, NYR, Boston/Pitts
west: chicago, san jose, anaheim, detroit
Chicago impressed me when i saw them, good young players and seemed to play as a team, but it's pretty much up in the air as to if they could go far this time.
they are very dangerous but inconsistent on the blue line and in goal.
Well the sharks are the best at choking in the playoffs...for the last 7 years in a row. Im not letting this great looking record make me cocky about it. The season is only 1/4 the way done. These other teams will finally come around and be very effective. Bluejackets were able to get the sharks confused a bit but couldnt keep the pace up.
Sharks vs oilers tonight. This should be fun to watch. Usually a lot of fights. Always a fun game. Hope the sharks can keep moving forward. Lots of improvement left still.
Checking out the boston/florida game in the meantime.
watching habs vs devils as we speak...should be boring as hell...i hate new jersey and the style of game that they play.
have chicago/detroit on my tv & streaming caps @ Leafs on the pc. go caps go
saku is now the highest scoring european ever with the habs and 11th overall.
Freak...you watchin the sharks in an hour?

I had feeling this was going to be the game they bone it.

CHICAGO (AP) -Ben Eager helped the Chicago Blackhawks knock out the Phoenix Coyotes on Sunday night.
Eager scored twice, and Andrew Ladd had a goal and three assists for a career-high four points in Chicago's 7-1 victory.
Jonathan Toews and Dave Bolland each had a goal and an assist, and Patrick Sharp and Dustin Byfuglien also connected. The Blackhawks scored their season-high seven goals in an 11-shot span against Ilya Bryzgalov.
Eager scored twice in a game for the second time in his career to match a personal high. Best known for his physical play, he also fought the Coyotes' David Hale midway through the second period when Chicago had a 7-0 lead.
"The guys really came to play tonight," Eager said "Score two, beat a guy up? If could do that every night I would. It's a nice feeling when everyone plays well and you help contribute."
love the final paragraph. It's humour like that which makes hockey so much fun
