1) How do I tether on an incredible without paying verizon?
2) What's the best way to watch movies on android? I'd actually prefer something legal if it's at all easier.

1: what version of android is it? There are a fair few apps, including some where you can wirelessly tether (though i think you need root permission (i think you can use the one-click root app on the incredible))
2" what movies? If they're already on your computer check out the app 'rockplayer' which i believe plays most types of movies... If you mean dvds or something, most likely either convert them to avi or mpg or something then use rockplayer...

Awwwwyeah, just updated to Froyo! I think the update has been available for a while, but I just kept forgetting about it, lulz.

Wow. Totally forgot about this. It's froyo. Hardwired is ok with me. Just need it for my laptop.

I had in mind something for vod, but now, with the iPad, I don't really have the need on my phone.

It has been out for a while especially if you take into consideration that 2.3 gingerbread is already out

I lost my mobile a couple of months ago, and I never replaced it.

I guess it might be time to get a new phone.

Posted by shaw on Jan-12-2011 01:09:

Anybody getting the verizon iPhone or whatever they're calling it? :justcurious:

Posted by Renzo on Jan-12-2011 01:17:

I bet shaw makes love to his phones.

Yes, well...in Canada the service providers are jews so we have to wait longer for shit.

gonna be good when gingerbread comes out \o/
I'm excited about the motorola xoom! How awesome is the Motorola Atrix too! You plug it into a laptop shell and it works as a laptop

I remember you posting a couple months ago about your frustrations with the phone. Can't remember exactly what it was though...

Also, I was surprised because we're still on 2.1 update1 in the states. With no real ETA for when 2.2 is coming.

Posted by Silky Johnson on Jan-12-2011 02:18:

Ah yeah...the first one had a faulty/not working key, and then the second one bricked (not my doing). Haven't had any problems since.

Yeah, I'm starting to question the quality control on these phones. I'm on my third one as well. Headphone jack fucked up on the first one. 2nd one also had a Headphone jack issue as well as the phone would randomly crash and shut off.

Third one has been working well.

Thunderbolt: ordered. Actually saved me $20 on my bill, since hotspot is free with it.
