switzerland was beautiful...loved it now we're in italy...got here today - on mainland of venice atm and we go to the proper island of venice in the morning.....italy is way more our style....great culture, great food, great men....what more could a girl want?? hehehe

Hello from Paris.

Been and done the Nice and Marsille thang, now up to Paris. France is defo growing on me the longer I'm in it, but I wish I could eat something other then baguettes or itallian

Doing heaps of walking and seeing heaps of things; Effiel Tower and Notre Dame were done today (still in Notre Dame now as I write this, something I want to see around the corner too).

Weather is REALLY hot, I'd be saying low 30's @ it's peak. I'm coming home with a tan, so watch out

greets from Florence! nice hot day today. being monday the museum that houses Michaelangelo's 'David' is closed so I'm spewing. Damn contiki.. as if not take us to Florence any other day.

Out of all the places I've visited so far, Florence isn't rating highly at all. Just not feeling the wonder here.

Paris and Barcelona however... both are in a league of their own at night, and for different reasons. Paris because of its beauty, Barcelona because of it's party atmosphere. Just awesome.

Anyways, hope you're all doing well.

Paris is OMG packed with stuff to do, need MUCH longer then a week to see all the sights.....Met quite a few people in the shite hostel we stayed @ as well

The pound kills the Dollar really quick, but thankfully the sales are still happening...

Hey everyone Yup we're still alive...just barely!!

We finished with Italy (Venice, Rome and Florence)....it was good, but not quite as good as we expected...the country itself and all the sights were great, but I gotta say we're so over Italian guys.... The stereotype of them being romantic and passionate is exactly that - a stereotype!! In reality they're the sleaziest, grossest guys we've ever encountered.....to the point where they just take all the enjoyment out of ur trip - we literally couldn't walk 5 metres down the street without being sleazed over...it got really old really fast...was a shame really

Then we went to Nice for a few days, which was lovely....did a day trip to Monaco while we were there, which was great - especially Monte Carlo

Now we're in Barcelona...loving it so far!! It's such a beautiful city....it has everything u could possibly want, from the harbour to the mountains...and it's so bustling and full of life, 24 hours a day....it's definitely agreeing with us!! Tomorrow we're doing a day trip to Montserrat, which is meant to be really gorgeous...then it's off to Madrid, San Sebastian, Amsterdam again, Paris, then to London........as much as I'm loving travelling, I gotta admit it'll be nice to be settled in one place in a couple of weeks - living out of a bag and changing cities every few days is getting a tad draining

It's funny how much a trip like this makes u realise what's important, and changes ur priorities in life....when we left aus we were so excited about the parties and stuff, and now it really doesn't seem to hold the same excitement......we're going to Dance Valley in Amsterdam and we're soooooo not enthusiastic about it anymore....could take it or leave it really....but I guess that's what travelling does to u - opens ur eyes All the old enthusiasm will probably come back when we're in one place again for a while tho

How're things in Aus? We haven't been keeping up on anything....kinda feel like we dropped off the planet!! Give us some Aussie news, cos I'm starting to miss home a teeny bit!!

....had 8hrs to get ready and get on a plane, after news of my dad being in hospital, after having a heart attack. hes ok now, but yeh...still in shock..



thats how life is i guess...

Sorry to hear that. Got a SMS from stu saying pretty much so the same thing...If you've left anything over here you want back, I'm here for another 5 days....Can get something back to you before Aug 15th (or perhaps earlier, pending on how urgent ETC).

Was @ GKGG tonight.......left early as I didn't want to walk 1.5 hours to the train station. Now @ Heathrow, trains don't start till 5, nor do buses.....I missed Hybrid and Nick Warren who I'd of liked to of seen. Also missed Hernan, but that's not a major worry. Armin killed it, Tiesto played OK after a wankey opening....You didn't miss anything special @ all Helen......

Starting to get a tad home sick....I've realised I talk to all of you a lot more then I thought I did Can't wait to get home....after relaxing a week in malaysia I liked Sydney's beaches better then Nice

ive never travelled so light in my life! for such a long journey..(small bag is all i had!) ...the flight from lon-sin was HELL
we all literally thought somthing was terribly wrong, cause we went thru a massive stormcloud. it was the biggest drop ive ever had in my many flights...!!!! turbulence is shit!!

re; dad. hes ok.....was a shock to see him in a bed in hosp to be honest. my dads a fighter..he apparently looked better thn other days before., so fingers crossed....hopefully wen they run more tests on him, he may be out mon-tue........as far as me..well..im doing ok. still weird to think i was in london just over a day ago and now in syd/.. its very surreal..!

good to see my fam tho....and my doggies..
and my lorikeet , Mr L. Keet hehe (which Stu got for mum as a pressie just before we left for London) ....and i couldnt believe it wen i heard him say 'Hello Loriii, Hello Lori' ....so kool! am gonna teach him other things to say!.....

so, dont know how long am gonna be here. poss 1.5 to 2 weeks...see what happens/..

Nice is great, i loved it. But u can't beat Sydney for a place to live

I got over of all the moving also, and u do appreciate the finer things in life.

dads ok....came out of Hosp late monday nite after tests concluded he was ok to come home......hes still recovering, both mentally and physically. but he has learnt the hard way unfortunately :/...good news is that he has gone cold turkey on the fags (this is coming from someone who smoked 2-2.5 packs of dunill reds a day!!!!) .... a combination of that and high cholesterol, and the booze of course didnt help matters!..

but knowing that...he was actually 'gone' so to speak for 3 mins (any longer, could have been bad for brain and stuff)was just too much to take in...!...thank god they revived him x

so yeh good news bout my dad...

im enjoying being back here. even being away for 2months, makes u slightly homesick!....as majority of friends and family are over here!... i will try and see/catch up with some of u if ur around. not sure about ANOT....dont wanna have late nite, but suppose could come round for a little!/

i think ill be going back to london next week, mid week if all goes well. am already feeling guilty, of leaving dad, but he has the full support of mum , bro and friends and other family...wen somthing like this happens, it changes the way u think bout life, and really how damn precious it is...

Sorry bout ur dad Helen - Ed and I are thinkin of u!!! And ur right about how precious life is...and soooo short...the combination of travelling and reading what u wrote has made me realise it's time to really grasp certain opportunities that have come my way recently....

K, quick update... We're in San Sebastian at the moment...tomorrow we go to Paris for one night, then fly to Amsterdam for Dance Valley (not really in the mood for it but we've already got plane tickets and DV tickets so figured we may as well use em), then Paris for a few days before we fly to London next Friday and put an end to all this living outta a bag crap for a while!!

I found out where I'll be living and working in London....I got lucky and snagged a great location smack bang in the middle of the West End, looking out over Trafalgar Square and right next to Leicester Square...literally next door to where the English National Opera performs....so, can't complain about the area!!! Looking forward to snagging some free theatre tickets for shows in the area!! The place sounds pretty cool....traditional English pub downstairs, and cushy lounge bar upstairs......and I get all meals and accommodation free, and a decent chunk of spending money every week....should be a good way to get on my feet and decide if I like London enough to wanna find a professional job there.....looks like I'll end up back in Egypt instead tho before coming back to Aus next year

Anyways, net here is super pricey so better say bye for now.....will have some DV reports after the weekend - will try not to be tooooo jaded!! hehehe

I hope being abroad from Sydney is good enough to post in here....No longer in Europe, now in Asia; Langkawi in Malaysia to be specific....

It's fucking sexy, is about all I can really say!

Temp is about 25-33c, with the water being really nice.

It's nice to be in a country where the AUD is worth more then the local currency.....2 pound is worth 18 ringets! That's about 5 beers!



Ok, I think it's time for another swim. Arranging some day tours and stuff for the rest of my time, had my day of relax, and my day of jet lag.

Oh yeah KL airport has wifi for free, as well as speed of about 120kb/s, I love that place (not there now tho, this place is dialup.)
