Don't get me started on randy.... damn... He was the best WR ever... then he left Minnesota... I was a HUGE Moss fan... its too bad... but I've stayed away from him fantasy wise for 3 years... ahem....lol....

But, thank god we got T.O.!

Spartan, I've always hated Big Ben, ever since he was drafted... so... I'm not JUST looking at his current numbers, he's NEVER been a fantasy stud/numbers guy... so you really can't say he's a great QB...

Trent Dilfer > Big Ben

Posted by Thierry on Nov-14-2006 20:45:

I got nothing against Big Ben. I actually cheered for him back when he played at Miami of Ohio. Better him win it than the Seahawks. No worries, Brady will get the ring back this year

As a rookie ben took the Steelers on a 14 game winning streak. The numbers I look at when I judge QBs are completion percentage and wins.

He is a great QB in that sense at least.

haha could it be you're just bitter b/c he ended your pats NFL record 21 game winning streak? and began a streak of his own??

...

all I will say...

and I repeat:

I hate Big Ben...

...

that is all

lol...

He goes in and out of the hospital a few times and has a poor start to this season as a result (not to mention not having hines ward for a while) and you guys forget what he was doing the last two seasons. Yah he plays for a running team but you measure the skill of a QB on his ability to throw in 3rd down situations, and Ben is one of the best at doing that. He is proven in the clutch, and can put a game on his shoulders like when he played Cinncinati in the playoffs last year.

Spot on.

Take that lancealot.

Now we have done the best QB debate. Whos the worst? Surely us Raiders are in possesion of it?

I cant think of anyone who comes close to his level of shitness.

did you forget about palmer getting injured badly that game and having to replace him with kitna? It was the equivalent of a chicken's head getting cut off.

lol... I was always a strong supporter of Chris Simms being the worst, who actually was a franchise or to be franchise QB, but now that his career is pretty much over, I should look elsewhere...

Yeah its either got to be Brooks or Walter...

but, I want strong consideration for Aaron Rodgers... its obvious this kid can't do shit... if Pick City Favre is being scheduled for one more year in Green Bay... that just tells me that Rodgers is a BUST... therefore he must really suck if he can't take the job from Old Man Favre...

Posted by Thierry on Nov-14-2006 22:47:

Brooks over Walter. Brooks is pure shit, at least Walter has a one or two. Kurt Warner is right up there too. And I personally hate Jake Delhomme. Overrated piece of shit like all the Panthers. Both the McCown's give all these guys a run for their money too.

I don't think it's fair to say Aaron Rodgers is terrible. Favre has a lifetime pass in GB. I think he'll be good when he finally gets his shot.. although it might not be with Green Bay hahaha

Interesting move by the Pats - they sign Vinny Testaverde

I hate Kurt Warner now and he's a crappy QB at the moment, granted, HOWEVER he is a TWO time NFL MVP!! And an MVP of the Super Bowl. I think this discussion is about QB's that just plain suck. Warner was disgustingly good for 3 years before he got knocked to kingdom come and broke his hands. All those hits since he held the ball until the last second made him lupey. Now crappy, before awesome.

Brooks is worse since he's been shit for years. Walters only half a season. David Carr is pretty piss poor! Mark Brunell is garbage. Ok now I'd add Vinny Testaverde to the mix. J.P. Losman is absolute trash. 4 straight games and he hasn't passed for over 115 yds in any of them. How does he keep his job? That obviously speaks highly of Kelly Holcomb.

This is either a genius move or a desperate move...

Genius: Brady is not hurt, but wants to make everyone think he is, like the way the Pats use the Injury List to their advantage week after week...

Desperate: Brady is hurt, and has been for the last two weeks, I'm not SURE, but its a rumor... I sure as hell hope he's not... he's been on vacation for two weeks now either way...

yep a new qb in Washington is just what they need now to play better,Jason Campbell will throw the pass, run downfield to catch it, and then be his lead blocker in route to the endzone. He will also flag himself for excessive celebration.

WOW Vinny T(from da U) is back! but I dunno he ended his career so awesomely on a high last year it seemed... in that meaningless Monday Night game for the Jets when he became like the all time leader in TDs on Monday night football. Kinda sucks that he'll end his career now on the bench with such a shitty team thats been lookin like ass lately

speaking of da U, how weird the Deven Hester 108 yard TD run back which tied him with his teammate who did the same last year for the Bears as the longest play ever, also weird is Rex Grossmans performances lately, one game he's a god and Madden jerks off to him more than he ever did to Favre, and then in other game he's just gross ,man...so what I am trying to say is Grossman is 50% awesome, 50% Mike Tomzack

No, no eddie, he isn't GOING back to school and starting at QB for da U...

He's going to join a Dynasty!

Dynasty is over! Kind of obvious with the last 2 losses.

I vote Tim Couch for worst current NFL QB. For current starters I'll mix things up and say maybe Losman, cause Oaklands O line is so bad I don't think Peyton Manning could do well back there, even though their QB is probably pretty awful too.

Is Tim Couch still playing? I don't think you can consider him current anymore.

Just thought of a couple more.. AJ Feeley and Patrick Ramsay. Hoooooooooooooooooorible!

Butters' Coca Cola League Poll (where 1 is the worst of the worst and 10 is the best of the worst) (as of 11.15.2006)

We are almost coming to Gobble Gobble day .. Do the trimmings .. lay the fat .. eat the stove top .. laugh at Madden .. and wonder where this year's football season has gone. There have been some significant changes to the league. Some teams dropping really low or surprisingly higher. Here's the top 10:

1. Arizona Cardinals (1-8)
( LW : 1 )

After the poor showing against Dallas, Dennis Green is saying right now: "He was who we thought he was! and we let him beat us(reffering to Tony Homo)!" Heck. Drew Henson could beat the Cardinals right now.

2. Detroit Lions (2-7)
( LW : NR )

Why did i even think about them being contenders in the Coca cola league ? This team is off and on. After that poor showing against the 49ers, they deserve to be dropped this low.

3. Pittsburgh Steelers (3-6)
( LW : 3 )

Gritty win against my Saints. However, no changes in the ranking, because they are not playing with heart like the other teams listed below (not counting Minnesota).

4. Minnesota Vikings (4-5)
( LW : 10 )

Wow does 1 month make a difference. They have gone from contenders to pretenders pretty fast. Where do we start about Minny's problems ........

5. Houston Texans (3-6)
( LW : 2 )

2 wins against Jaxy proves they can win against big defenses. These are baby steps to becoming a good franchise. Kubiak pointing this team to the right direction.

6. Oakland Raiders (2-7)
( LW : 4 )

As much as we can rip Art Shell and the Raehders, their defense has been real solid the past couple of weeks. Don't blame the defense for that loss against Seattle though, because the offense was pathetic. Maybe Aaron Brooks and some interceptions can get this offense back on track, and keep the defense rested for once.

7. Tennessee Titans (2-7)
( LW : 5 )

Gritty loss against the Ravens. Vince Young is trying his best to work with whatever he's got. Give him props on that. At least he found the white receiver on the team. That's a plus.

8. Cleveland Browns (3-6)
( LW : 6 )

Now in my books as the "best" team in the Coca Cola League. Like I said last week, this team brings every game close to the final quarter, but Chaz Frye isn't going to help the Browns go over the next hump, and win the game for the team.

9. Miami Dolphins (3-6)
( LW : 7 )

2 wins in a row! wow. and also in impressive fashion. I feel another strong 2nd half for this team, looking at their schedule.

10. Dallas Cowboys (5-4)
( LW : 9 )

a non-impressive 27-10 win against the "they were who we thought they were" team. Tony Homo coming to get more comfortable with the plays. Since they are in the NFC East, they are always in contention to win the division until the last week of the season.

Honorable Mention :

Washington Redskins(3-6), Buffalo Bills(3-6), Green Bay Packers(4-5), San Francisco 49ers(4-5), Tampa Bay Buccaneers(2-7), New York Jets(5-4), Philadelphia Eagles(5-4), St. Louis Rams(4-5), Cincinnati Bengals(4-5), Atlanta(5-4)
