I hope they didn't over sell........ I don't plan on getting there till after DEMF so it better not be at capacity!

Who you hearing this from? My friend Lee (dude on AMP) is involved so thats who I've been getting info from. |

Crazy Larry...

Originally posted by dynomite8 It's an 8 hour party. 200 presales were sold 30 more presales were released and sold due to EXTREME demand. SIgnificantly more than 230 people will be turned over in the course of 8 hours. The venue has represented itself as 300 capacity, but even if it is only a 200 capacity venue it has not been oversold. THESE ARE THE EXACT NUMBERS. EVEN IF YOU HAVE A PRESALE COME BEFORE 1 AM, PROBLEM SOLVED. We are not staffing the venue, they will allow in their legal capacity, it will be exactly as packed as it can be legally, and no more than it has in the past for popular parties.

Originally posted by Clovis Quite certain we could get any TAs in with the folks we know. I'm good friends with at least 1 person involved and he's staying with Crazy Larry (also involved) so I don't think anyone of us will be totally butt-fucked.

Originally posted by RJT I hope I never have to encounter that fellow again, and that's all I'll say. It became very clear, very quickly why exactly Pier decided to sit that tour out.

Originally posted by Clovis I've only met him a few times, seems whacky to say the least, but he was nice when we met.

Originally posted by RJT Not so much when I met him. Then again, I'd be upset too if I started my set with a floor full of people dancing and proceeded to watch the club completely empty over the course of the next hour. ![]() I'm sure he had nothing to do with it.

Originally posted by Clovis Yeah saw them do their live thing @ cheap sunglasses...it was ok...good thing Magda got on shortly after. I think Pier Bucci does a much better live set by himself. The time I saw Larry DJ in SF he was pretty good though. Anyways, I have friends who are friends with him, so I'll reserve judgment till I (probably) get to know him better this weekend. Jesus its really mind boggling just how many people from the entire techno scene will be in Detroit this weekend. Pretty much every single person I met in Miami.

Originally posted by RJT I think it's generally agreed that Larry is a pretty versatile and solid DJ - he just really shouldn't have even tried to do a "live" set (which was really just an m-audio keyboard and Ableton with a Wiimote). Beyond that, I think it was pretty hard for anyone who witnessed his little fit in Chicago to walk away with all that much respect for him - we've all got our bad nights though, just a shame you only get to make a first impression once. Still, for a party that was booked one week before it was supposed to happen (because Kazell bailed yet again), he had as full (if not far fuller) a house as he could have expected, and just dropped the ball in a major, major way.

Originally posted by Clovis Yeah that sucks. But whatever, I don't care much, its not like I go out of my way to see him or his live set, though I do like some glacier tunes. I'm still jizzing my undies over 2 hours of magda in the beatport tent sunday. I think I'll leave when she's done, fuck richie.

Originally posted by Clovis I fully support this consensus. I'll go as far as to say I'd miss temp tatoos for old miami in a heartbeat if it came down to that. Its all about whacky weird techno parties where no one gives a fuck about anything.

Originally posted by beema My main concern at this point for Temp Tattoos is that Pronsato and Landsky's sets are later on in the night. They are the two main people I'm interested in seeing at that party, but there's also no way I'm missing Carl Craig live at the festival, and that doesn't end till 11pm or so.
i'm not doing the festival Monday. I leave at 4pm.. so I wouldn't mind passing by the crack fest Old Miami.
They really metal detect @ the festival?
I have a nice flask and bullet, both metal.
