different people, diff reasons.

This is exactly why I said "spirited driving" earlier. There are ways to push your car without breaking it, or even coming close, yet you are not abusing it.

Fair points all around.

I would still suggest that someone think twice about their purchase if that was the case, but then that's only my opinion. Also, my opinion is that I don't like t/c either, no ABS. I like to feel everything the car does myself like you guys said. That's why I like older sportscars.

I'll never be able to afford anything cool like this anyways, so it's a pretty academic argument.

lol main reason i wouldn't be interested in this first round of GTRs anyway (i have a neighbour who was selling his deposit on one) is that they don't come in manual transmission yet. Problem solved

Posted by pmoisse on Dec-01-2008 18:44:

^ Exactly.

They should make a GT-Turbo one that was just rear-wheel-drive with a normal 6-speed. They used to do it, and I think it would still be one helluva car.

Posted by gehzumteufel on Dec-01-2008 19:30:

Amen to that. Manual ftw.

Porsche Panamera

I'll Trade My soul to the devil for these cars

4-door porsche, holy shit that's hot!!!

^and car above looks like fun!

Posted by pmoisse on Mar-15-2009 10:48:

Fiat 500 Abarth is awesome.

Porsche Panamera is all kinds of ugly. I'm sorry, I love Porsche, love the history of the company, and love the recent fact that they made the rest of the auto industry their bitch by their sneaky takeover of Volkswagen. But this thing is going too far. They already did the Cayenne which is the grocery-getting Porsche. I'm having a hard time swallowing it, but it will likely sell well so power to them.

ya i hear ya on the bad form to go 4-dr for their legacy, but that's one of the better attempts imo

I know, I watched them racing them at the race of champions and knew I had to have one

I have it all planned out in my petrol head I am building a big house at the minute, gonna cash it in when its finished, buy a big bit of land (In the arsehole of nowhere), build a cheaper house and build a track out the back. And buy 2 Abarths and 2 Alpacas and a garden hut for peace from my wife, and live happily ever after.

In pictures it would go something like so :

Ok maybe the track wont be as nice as that

Happy times lol

If you're going to go for a bigger, luxury 4 door grand tourer, the Maseratti is tough to beat. You could even lump the Aston's in there even though they aren't 4-dr's they still have enough back seat for kids / golf clubs / groceries while being a killer grand tourer.

Posted by pmoisse on Mar-15-2009 12:22:

LOL @ Mickeymarley

That's epic!!! I was going to hit ROC this year but couldn't pull it together. I have World Superbike @ Assen, LeMans 24 Hours, and MotoGP @ Assen to look forward to for racing events this year (so far).

There is an Aston 4dr in the works. Aston Martin Rapide. Look it up. It is SICK.

Fahad: The Panamera is just plain fucking ugly. Horrible for a Porsche. Usually they exude sexyness. The Panamera exudes gaging.

Also, I agree that the Fiat 500 Abarth is sick. Awesome car. Would love to have one. There is talk they might bring it to the US. I really hope so! Same with a bunch of these small cars.
