Myra even started a thread on MD about that set...I could've sworn you posted on it, lol.

Anyways, better late than never. I'm sure you'll hear some familiar tracks that have been slowly getting released since that set like Gentle, Tuesday, The Night, etc...

Listened to the first 15 minutes but it didn't really get the vibe just yet. I'll give it a new go tomorrow.

Could've posted but never actually got around to downloading. I have brain farts and completely forget about sets that are on my 'to-listen' list.

Who's got the tracklist?

damn, not so much "the funk" but this is quite tasty indeed. reminds me of Howells early-hours opening stuff. thanks for the link!

Thank you very much. tried listening to some old prog today & couldn't do it. I'm on a house bender for sure. It's not commercial released stuff right?

As in a commercially released mixed compilation? No.

If you mean unreleased tracks...yes. Some of those are still unreleased more than a year after the set was recorded

I definitely like what I'm hearing so far though, if that makes up for it at all.

EDIT: BTW, is that a typo in the title of track 2? If it isn't that's a hell of an aggressive track title.

i hope it's not a typo because it's one of the funniest track names i've ever seen.

I know, lol..they ended up releasing it as 'Juicy' on the Gentle EP though.

This title takes the cake though, from Luke Fair's set @ Sweet Chilli:

23. Elektrochemie LK - Lay Here (Anal Deep Throat Mix)

dark funk: chocolate puma - i wanna be you (king unique dark chocolate mix)

Just got back from my first time seeing Luke Fair spin (Sullivan Room, NYC)... and the first 2/3 of the set were the definition of "bringing the funk"... he got a bit deeper/melodic toward the end with a spectacular finale, too. Ian Pooley-My Kicks (Vincenzo and Lovebirds mix), then Milton Jackson-Crash (Lovebirds mix)

Posted by lücid on Mar-15-2009 17:49:

new Luke 3-hour set from Dubai

http://tranceaddict.com/forums/show...05&forumid=6&s=

sound quality kinda sucks and the crowd noise gets obnoxious at times, but it's the best thing i've heard from him in over a year.

and woooo for playing Lovebirds! i am uber-psyched to see him in 2 weeks.

A little aside the "funk" side of music to focus on the more experimental side, here is Mary Anne Hobbs on BBC Radio 1 Experimental.
Her show is the real meaning of fresh music. Just listening to her show gives me hope because it proves that they are guys out there moving things forward, making real progression.

Check out the show at the following link.
http://www.newmixes.com/mary_anne_h...02-18-2009.html

Bear in mind that the first track is far from being the best one so feel free to skip it.

Some of those tracks make me go mental (Floating Points - Esthian Three and the Beat Pharmacy tune). I've discovered so many great tunes almost every week on her show as opposed to ASOT or Club Life that I thought it would be great if I posted it here.

You lucky bastard, hopefully promoters get around to bring him down here some day...if not, I guess I'll better get down to WMC next year.

Something I found at deephousenetowrk.org a little while back

http://www.mix-house.com/Mixs/Under...20Connexion.mp3

You might want to skip the first track though, it sucks, but the rest of the set is down right amazing.
