I'm going to take a random guess and say Ableton Live? Traktor? Grabbing more songs?

yea, it's fluorescent blacklight paint. I'm going to guess the lighting setup down there cost more than the music setup . My basement has been a project me and my friends have worked on for a few years. You can kind of see that couch in the picture, we have a few down there. It's just a cool place to chill and listen to some good music. I spin mostly Trance with a little bit of everything from other genres...

Also, I've never used vinyl, and I'm pretty excited that I just bought a beat-up Technics 1200 used on eBay. It's in the mail atm, but that'll be fun too.

The computer there currently has Traktor on it and is just hooked up to the mixer's 3rd channel. I don't have FinalScratch or Serato. It has the demo versio of Ableton on there, I'm trying to decide whether or not to go with it. My next mixer will definitely be MIDI ready if I do. My mixer is shit, regrettably .

my setup faces a wall, and there's a mirror propped against the wall to reflect the light and brighten up the room

A pic that didn't seem to work in a past post...

i hope that ur mac overheats... causing it to catch on fire....


the fire would spread to the speakers and make them fall on both mixers. the crossfader of teh mixer breaks... they go flying through the air and break the needles on ur turntable which end up getting stuck inside the cdj's

BTW.. that is a collab setup between myself and DannyO... its not all mine..

It's big ut it's a nice mixer, dig the filters and 4 band eq !

do you also use final scratch or something to control the tempo of your ableton songs? or where do you use the cdj for?

but very nice setup indeed, although i would never play with ableton only

I use the CDj for playing songs from also; the cdj is routed to the send of the mixer to Live and there Live gets it's tempo from or by manual adjust.
Live is the way 4 me now, been spinnin over 10 years now and love this! You can do so much with it !
