I want some fucking flan. Maybe I'll go to the Mexican place this week...

if you say so, doesn't look too tasty to me but i'm always open to eating new desserts.

I went to an Argentinian steakhouse for my birthday, and they gave me a flan with a firework stuck in it as a cake. Literally a firework - it had safety warnings saying "Stand at least one metre away after lighting" down the side, and this thing was flaring away about six inches from my chin. The flan was fucking horrible, too. Cold and wet and didn't taste of much.

Anyway, just done my back and arms. Feeling nice and burned, but I'm slightly irritated by the fact my shadow has incredible lats and yet I don't.

Flan is similar to creme brulee, but the consistency is closer to cheesecake.

That is actually slower than my slow runs which I do outside on the street 100F on hills. And I'm fat.

Must have been the part where I don't listen to or respect what dbags like yourself have to say. My bad. :/

Posted by KiNeTiC ENeRgY on Aug-04-2009 19:00:

I guess that's the same as not listening to insecure attention whores that need constant reassuring from strangers that they are ok

Posted by Silky Johnson on Aug-04-2009 19:10:

Yeah you really gotta stop doing that. *pat on head*

Posted by Zild on Aug-04-2009 20:11:

I think I'm going to switch my routine up a little bit pretty soon. Probably add in some interval training like tabata squats, pushups, situps for conditioning and start training cleans/jerk on the strength side.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Aug-04-2009 20:26:

I love interval training. It's all I use for cardio.

Posted by Zild on Aug-04-2009 20:29:

I started doing tabata squats when I hurt my ankle and they're tough.

Posted by MrJiveBoJingles on Aug-04-2009 20:34:

Yeah, tabata with pretty much anything is no joke. Sometimes I do tabata sprints on a field. Fucking exhausting.

Posted by chimera66 on Aug-04-2009 20:52:

so tabata is intervals for weights. what are the added benefits exactly? does it shorten your workout by a lot? if so i might like this for those days i need to be in and out quickly.

Tabata is intervals for anything, not just weights.

You do 20 seconds of 90 - 100% effort, then rest ten seconds. Then you do that seven more times, for a total of 8 x 30 seconds or 4:00.

You can use it on sprints, cycling, bodyweight exercises, weightlifting, whatever. It's good for getting some really intense cardio work in a very short time.

It is pretty killer. I would try starting out with 4-5 sets and working up to 8.

Getting sloppy the last few months. I've maintained my weight in the lower 230s and only passed the 240 pound mark on a few occassions, but it's fucking genetics, my pops looks like a grizzly bear. started running 2 weeks ago and working back on plyometrics to get the explosive reactions on my legs again. Chest and shoulder every other day and arms and legs the following. The trick to getting your arms ripeed and to the max during strenght training, you have to push yourself on the reps till your muscles fail and keep doing it after about a minute's rest. I have a lot of catching up to do to get in shape again, patience and determination is the key.

Posted by Nrg2Nfinit on Aug-07-2009 02:20:

need to get back into it.. forcingmyself tomorrow morning

i've lost weight i used to be able to do 3 1 handed pull ups on each hand at a heavier weight, i can barely do 1 with my right hand now.

im scared to weigh myself im afraid im back into the 130's. I was up to 155 a couple of months back.

Posted by Vivid Boy on Aug-07-2009 02:22:

wow you are a chick im ay 197 jacked but havent been in the gymn alot in the last 2 weeks, been crazy busy

Posted by Zild on Aug-07-2009 02:24:

Tabata squats fucked me up this morning. I think I barely made it to 8 reps on the last set and I wanted to pass out for at least 5 minutes after I finished. Should be fun tomorrow.
