yeah.. sadly im probably not 140 super lean anymore.
i wouldnt mind 155 at 6% bodyfat. but im probably 137 10 % now.
ugh.. well no matter just need to go heavy hard again.
how many chinups can you do at 197? don't brag about your weight unless you can lift it at least 10 times.
That reminds me of the video of some guy on crossfit knocking out 100 chinups in 3 minutes. That guy was jacked.
did my first full on upper body exercises since my shoulder started feeling all messed up about two weeks ago. it was marvelous although i'm gonna wake up tomorrow with sore arms and chest
.
picking back up h.i.i.t. on the elliptical tomorrow, it has absolutely destroyed me this week. i love it!

My pops is almost 270 and we're the same height, he's a beer belly though, I'm trying not to end up sloppy like him. If I could cut down on my body fat and I'm working on getting more ripped and my goal is around the lower 220 pound mark. It's just hard for me because I gain weight fast and I can't go a day without Italian or Chinese food. |

and dieting was a major fail.
couldn't sustain training 2-3 times a day on a low carb diet. cardio and strength were zapped. gonna try an aminoacid supplement, plus a protein powder and some vitamins, but at this point, it's pretty much sealed i have to fight in the heavyweight class.
there's chance there'll be a 170-200 weightclass, in which case, i am golden.
On low carb diets there's a period of a week or two where you'll feel less energetic until your body adjusts to the new diet. That's what I've heard, anyway.
Not even. 3-4 days.

Chest and techno.
I love working out in my basement.
nice
whats your workout routine these days Grene?
I'll post up a full routine a bit later as I just changed it up...
Here is chest though, pretty straightforward:
Incline barbell:
1 x 15 x 135
1 x 5 x 135
2 x 5 x 225
1 x 5 x 225 dropset to 135 and burnout
Cable dips:
3 x failure
Flat flys:
1 x 12 x 35
1 x 12 x 40
1 x 12 x 45
and that's it! Tight form on all and supertight squeeze on the flys gets me pretty pumped.
I changed things up a bit because I don't think I'll ever a good distance runner given that I'm keg shaped. Less distance running and more interval training. My legs totally destroyed right now, and I still need to do legs/core today. I guess I'm going to have to force myself into the garage in about an hour or call myself a pussy all day.
FUCK L.A. FITNESS
stupid bullshit gym. i tried to go play raquetball right now and they were trying to charge us $15 because pat is a non member. $15?????
fuck them. i'm going back to talk to the manager on monday and tell him i want to pay $5 each time to bring him to play raquetball and if he can't do that for me, i'm cancelling my $40/month membership.
Tabata intervals are brutal! I can honestly say I'd much rather be forced to run 4 miles than to do 4 minutes of tabata squats.
Ok so I FINALLY remembered to do HIIT instead of my usual long run...and man did it kick my ass, lool. I felt on the verge of passing out. And I'm pretty sure the adrenaline released from sprinting made me have to take a shit. What horrible cramps I had...was on the toilet for almost 10 minutes.

HIIT training is some hard stuff. All I can think of is:
1. Why am I doing this?
2. I wish I could stop and pretend I did the whole thing, and not know deep down I am a pussy for not finishing.
Last one usually gets me through.
Been having a good week of running
Monday 6 miles 48 minutes
Tuesday 8 miles 62 minutes
Today 2 x 3.75 miles at 26 minutes and 28 minutes
Added a plyometric exercise to my interval running workout the other day. I don't even know what the exercise is called, I just remember that we did it at one of the soccer camps I went to a long time ago. You hop in place on one leg once or twice, then jump from that same leg as high as you can and bring your knee up as far as you can, and repeat.
Legs are sore today.

Threw out my back today.
