Well, Dance Valley was pretty amazing Can't get over how many ppl were there and just how huge it was!!! Don't have time to say much right now, but definitely glad I went since I'll probably be taking a break from the big parties for a while now....was a good one to finish up on for a bit!!

Highlights for me were Sander (of course!! hehe he was goin off - never seen him be such a happy camper!!), Marco V, Lucien Foort, James Holden....ummm I forget who else cos my brain is still sleeping.....caught the end of Markus Schulz - liked what he was playing but the way he looked and acted was too cheezy for words - to the point where I had to leave cos I couldn't help laffin at him.... Biggest disappointment was Deep Dish, surprisingly...was really looking forward to them, but I only stayed for half their set cos it was really lacklustre and wasn't going anywhere, and they weren't interacting at all with the crowd.....maybe they improved after I left - who knows!!

But, pick of the day for me was somebody I'd never seen before....one of those djs whose name I always heard in passing, but never bothered to listen to any of his stuff....Max Graham. OMG he was FANTASTIC!!!!!!!!!!! I can't even begin to describe how good he was....he played such driving, deep groovy prog, interspersed with some really gorgeous chilled stuff.....he was on right after Sander and I have to say he blew Sander outta the water....he had the crowd in the palm of his hand and he got a way better response than anybody else I saw all day.......and it wasn't just that his music was good...it was also how much he was feeling it and conveying his emotions to the crowd....I can't remember the last time I saw a dj who seemed to really feel and connect with the music that way....I was totally mesmerised watching him....he kinda reminded me of how Dave Seaman connects with the music, only better......so, he's one I'll definitely pay attention to now!!!

All in all, a great day Will be in London on Friday so will be able to upload all my piccies then

WOW! looks like DV lived up to all the hype it received. I seriously think that if I was there I would have died on the spot from all the acts that were in attendance. I mean James Holden, Sasha + Digweed, Sander....the list was just never ending. Nice to see you had a good time Alli. keep up the good reports all the best from here in Aus!

Well...arrived in London yesterday.....am so fried and stressed from all the travel, so not really sure what I think of London yet.... The place I'm living is pretty cool, and right in the middle of everything....and I start working on Monday....hopefully will get my head around it all eventually!!

Have a weird nagging feeling that this isn't quite where I'm meant to be tho........so, have decided to listen to my gut....am gonna stay here 3 months and then I'm going back to Egypt to live until I come home in June via USA, Cuba and Mexico.... Just can't get enough of Egypt....it owns me now!!

Really wanna put up some travel pics...but my laptop decided to have a stroke the other day and now i can't load windows so can't get anythin off it til I get around to taking it somewhere for a windows repair cos im too afraid to try the recovery console myself *lol* Just what I needed on top of getting my wallet stolen in Paris....and same thing happened to Edd 2 days earlier in Paris as well.......it never rains, it pours!!

Been watchin a lil of the Olympics...seein the Aussies has given me my first dose of homesickness since I left....but at least I know now that Australia really is the best place to settle....we really are the lucky country.....Europe is great but doesn't come close to our Aussie lifestyle.....so, looking forward to being home next year when the travel bug is outta my system!!!

Over and out from London

Over and out from London

Not quite sure what i think of london just yet either, have not been out and about much just yet as have been doing a lot of catching up with helen. Should not really judge a book by its cover but so far cant say i am impressed. Too cloudy, too dirty, too expensive and ppl seem unfriendly and have no regard for others and just shove into you on the busy city streets. Reminds me of Belin in a way lol. Clubbing in london is great though, first night here Helen we went out and saw Thrillseekers, Scott Bond and Agnelli and Nelson.

Unfortunately am running so low on cash so will need to stay here for at least a while, get a job and save some cash so can finish the rest of my travel and come home. Luckily Helen and Stu have been nice enough to put me up for a lil while until i get on my feet

I am in the process of uploading travel pics, first need to sort thru and select some from the thousands i have taken so that Gav does not get a heartattck at how much webspace i am using

Re the olympics.. congrats to greece for pulling it off!!!. Shocked to see Tiesto. From what i heard through the crappy commentary he did a great job and at he played trance . Had to laugh my ass off when Netherlands came out. They all looked like they were heading for White Sensation. I too got really homesick when i saw the aussies and realisation set in of how lucky we are to live where we live and to have the lifestyle we have. Can;t belive how much i took for granted. Cant wait to come home!

neither did i.....have to be selective with what i spend my pounds on....plus u get a bad rep at my work if u don't show up for staff drinks on a fri nite but there's so much stuff here in london to choose from, so missing a few nites is no big deal

Posted by eRRaTiK on Sep-01-2004 13:31:

haah that's funny stuff. feel the peer pressure.

damn those poms and their 11pm-closing pub culture. you should drag them all to some quality dance events instead then give em bad looks if they can't last past midnight.

Posted by spaz on Sep-03-2004 21:20:
