Haha thats awesome! Anyway i was supposed to try them out at avalon during ferry's set but bouncer took em away when entering.. ..was my frist time @ avalon..

oh well. its too bad. looks like a lot of people will be selling their tickets...personally iono what glowsticks have to do with ensure a smooth nite -- strings mebbe, but freehand is fine...and next thing u know, they will be revising their dress code policy too omfg all these last minute revisions.

if its a bad idea then why don't you just go download some pvd tracks and play it at home, its the best idea.

but manny!!! i wanted to see YOU GUYS!!!!! yeah im not too crazy about it either, that stipulation but i guess itll be okie. actually many nyc clubs do not allow glowsticks or they frown on them. photons are allowed mostly though.

wait wait wait, you have got to be kidding me!!!!

what is the reason for this?! cuz they think people will get hurt?! i understand not allowing strings, but what about freehand?! please is there some promoter we can talk to in order to let us take at least a few sticks in???? this is extremely bad news...

My first trip to Avalon the bouncer took away my digital and extra bright glowsticks at the door...but when i walked up to him after seeing alot of people with them..his answer was.. " We dont allow them in the club, but people find ways to bring em in anyway..." I sure will be tryn to pull something off, maybe not my whole arsenal but some..!!

P.S. (Space is a big issue that night as well right...)

Great now I can't sleep, I gotta call IKON and GK tomorrow to see whatsup. I guess the next best thing is to see Snoop Dogg and the Ball drop @ Time Sq. then gather at Seho when the afterparty starts haha

Ikon/Exit have allowed glowsticks in for many years...i dont understand why they make an exception on this night. honestly if i knew this several weeks ago i wouldnt have spent $60+ on a ticket

"to ensure a smooth night" makes it seem like they dont want any injuries...i totally understand not allowing in strings cuz they do cause injuries but freehand doesnt and gives so much FREE entertainment to the crowd, i dont understand why they wouldnt allow it???

We are so sorry about the glowsticks, but thought it was best to let you know now instead of having them taken away at the door.

We want everyone to have a great time, and the upside the dresscode is still the same, that will not change, I promise....and don't forget he extended his set to 6 hours!!!

Also, cameras are allowed!!!!

Sorry for any inconvenience, and I truly hope this is not a deterrent from all enjoying/attending this remarkable event.

godskitchen_nyc: i really do appreciate you telling us this in advance. i'm sure you probably had nothing to do with the decision...can you at least tell us the reasons for this though? i know it may seem like a little thing to some but its a big deal to others
