i think overall it was a pretty average night for me, g&d were good, the last few songs especially, a&b i didn't get into much except for a couple of tracks, they all sounded the same to me, steve was good, love 'cages', where did you get it? i need it

overwhelming highlight was bt, i don't know what the hell happens when he goes to sydney, because he just banged it out, it was all pumping trance, played all his classics, place was going nuts, it was brilliant! too bad he finished early he seemed upset that g&d were playing so fast at the end of their set but maybe he was just mucking around with them. really good performance, a lot more energy than two tribes last year, made me come alive

hanging with alex cooke was good for a few laughs hehe. i tried saving a couple of videos on my mobile, in one you can hear him going "ONE TWO THREE FOUR!!" and banging on the fence hehehe.

had to leave early to get some sleep for work, walked out to where the taxis come and there is this queue of 20 people, this taxi comes up and asks the first couple of people where they were going, and he knocked them back haha. then he yells out 'anyone going to glen waverly? or anywhere far like that?' i yell out 'im going to oakleigh' 'down freeway to warrigal rd?' 'yeah man!' 'ok come on! haha skipped 20 people in the line, i get into the taxi and all these people go 'awww no fair' haha suckers.

well i guess in review music wise i enjoyed moments but not a whole lot overall. didnt risk going to other arenas in case it took too long to queue so dunno what happened with hybrid or warren or luke fair or anyone, best fun was easily BT and hanging with other TAs at the front

jol: a&b did a remix of 'what it feels like for a girl', so i guess thats what they played

virginia l: haha you even got to meet some new TAs twice

Yeah it was pretty wicked night, way better than last years GK anyway.

Highlights were Luke Fair who ripped it up from start to finish and Nick Warren who played much better than the last couple of times he's come out here. Also saw bits and pieces of Hybrid, who seemed a bit flat to be honest, Tom Neville who played a few cool tracks but that was about it and Above & Beyond who I couldn't really get into. But yeah, loved it overall and it was good to catch up with the usual TA suspects along the way as well.

EDIT: Oh yeah, no-one had any trouble with the sniffer dogs I hope?

Eye Wall - Bad Deal (DJ Remy and Roland Klinkenberg Remix)

i love the ch00n

Musically i think i ernjoyed last year alot more tbh.

I saw hybrid for a little who was playing some awesome stuff ( and some pretty average stuff in between).

G&D were okay but not what i had hoped tbh. They played a couple of hits but i had hoped their djing would be as good as their producing, maybe i expected a little to much??

Above and beyond I only saw the start off which was also good, but typical predictable trance, not "Once a year GodsKitchen main stage set" sort of good if u know what i mean?

I guess for me there was not really any one point in the night were i was blown away by the music itself.

Having said that i did have an awsome night overall but more enjoyed just chatting shit with everyone and catching up with all the usual TA's.

Nick Warren is a top bloke, was lucky enough to have a bit a chat with him....fark he was trashed

Maybe i been doing this to long?

that is correct you jaded bastard scott!

haha, seriously though that's why I didn't go to GK.syd.

A&B and G&D don't float my boat, and I think your expectations of G&D were probably a bit on the unrealistic side (in terms of dj'g).

Would have really liked to see Nick Warren in action. His parklife set here, from reports, was pretty average.

Lol yeah thank goodness the human mid-20's group i was with was big enough to sorta block out the elderyl topless mutants for the most part! Either that or i was just too blind to notice most of the night.

pretty good night overall, but not the best..

highlights for me -

G&D playing - Eye Wall - Bad Deal (Remy & Roland Klinkenberg Remix with vocals of Andain - Summer Calling over the top.. FARK that was crazy

lowlight - how could they possibly dream of starting with Arcadia not a good option in my mind, plus putt 'Jase from Outta Space - Do What You Want' vocals over the top -

G&D also played Mindcircus (at least i think they did) which was massive.. they also played some other big tunes.. they were pretty good overall.. and also cause i got to wander on stage during their set (to which i received about 10 sms'. one of which saying "hey dude.can you please get me to see Hybrid backstage" from an unknown number.. quite hilarious 7/10

Apparently Luke Fair killed it in a big way, so disappointed ai didnt see him.. Nick warren was great for what i can remember, all a bit hazzy at this point..

cause end of BT but then realise it was Above&Beyond playing as ti sounded too hard for BT

Above&Beyond were best of the night for me, with all their usual big ones and i was sitting int he VIP section with Charlotte, and when Birth of an Angel came on i started babbling shit about how its gotta be their Birth of An Angel with Angelic - Its My Turn vocals on it.. DAMN THAT SOUNDED HOT!!!

a big night all-in-all and at the pre-part the people there went mental over Menno De Jong - Tundra, Dreas - Sonic Rush and Mr Sam - Lyteo (Rank 1 Remix) as we headed out the door.. which proves (charlotte) there is no substitute for great party tunes.. a big hallo to all the ta's i spotted again, only new one i met was alex_cooke and didnt manage to change mr eros around the traps this time..

Posted by AnitA on Oct-10-2005 01:57:

Did anyone go to the 'after party' @ QBH?

We were that loud. Its really scary, probably the reason why i didn't have much of a voice yesterday/today!

and yeah, we were really out of tune too!

luke fair rocked
hybrid were awesome, super cool guys too
stevie strangis played some chooooooons (nice one mate)

dean played some great quality stuff (i was hoping to hear 2 full moons, but no love )

top night that finished quite late

Posted by Teflon_Teapot on Oct-10-2005 06:08:

This Gods Kitchen was in my opinion better than last years.

BT was by far the best act I saw for the night. His was the only set I saw in its entirety. For the rest of the night I was wandering between rooms and talking with people.

Gabriel & Dresden were good but I was not blown away, which was disappointing because I thought I would be. I was not sure about them playing "No One on Earth" even though they played their remix given that Above & Beyond were playing as well. Sort of ruined it when Above & Beyond played it.

Above & Beyond were good as well, but I lost interest after a while sort of had the same feel throughout the entire set without much variation.

On saying all of that it was a great night out. Pity I only met up with two or three TA's I cannot remember exactly, but what are you going to do.

I remember you met Narcism and I cause we spent ages asking people "Are You Teapot? Are you teapot?" and they were like "WTF?". When we finally found we went mental!

Lol. Duncan was stressing that he was never gonna get it back too. It too us SO long to get Josh or Dave's attention so he could get it back!
