Prydz completely owned on Friday - best set I have seen since SOS @ WMC last year. I was a really big fan of the essential mix and he pretty much gave me what I wanted. I agree that, in general, Denver clubs do kinda suck, mainly due to the crowd and the lame Colorado liquor laws. But the crowd is actually decent at the Church some nights and this was one of them, at least from my interaction.
New dates up for Colorado:
Jeff Mills, Scumfrog, Hector Romero, Christopher Lawrence, etc.

I'm going to try and catch Sultan on the 12th @ JET too. I guess Las Vegas doesn't do willcall/pre-sales or anything? I'm expecting to stand in line a lot. |
So I guess Paco Osuna is playing at Fab Afterhours and not 2AM?
Me and Ben are going... anyone else?

So is this Minilogue show really happening or not? And is it really going to be at the Shelter? Hopefully both those answers are yes.

Looks like Chris Fortier is playing the Shelter on 12/7 instead now.

| Originally posted by kabelicious Anyone else get turned away at the door for Hallofreakin'ween in Denver? I found a brief explanation on the Triad Dragons website saying that the original venue didn't have the parking lot finished in time so it was a last minute thing to hold it at the Palladium. Now, the question I have is this: did they sell walk-in tickets and, if so, they knew it was a smaller venue, why did they sell walk-up tickets beyond what had been pre-paid? I was very, VERY disappointed by the handling of this - I was turned away at midnight from the show - I can't imagine how many more people showed up and had the same treatment. I know they have stated they will be issuing refunds to those who did not get in with pre-pays but I have no idea how they will do this so I won't hold my breath. In the end, I will think very little of attending another one of these big shows - Skylab offered redemption in the form of a much better venue and I was hoping they would continue that. "Parking lot not finished" is no excuse to me - for an event this large, get your shit straight from the get-go - especially that many months in advance and with a lineup like that. Usually, I am very forgiving with my reviews of parties but is just ridiculous. |
Thinking about checking out CLaw @ Empire Ballroom while I'm in Vegas that weekend. I've never been to Empire Ballroom, so does anyone have any tip/opinion about the place? I usually get pre-sale tix to any outings. Are the lines crazy? I hear that the bouncers at Vegas clubs can be brutal about not letting people in, even with tickets. Not sure how true that is. Thanks!

you have no need to worry, just dress nice (don't show up looking like a trashy crackhead) and you'll be fine!

Sweet, I'll see you there.
does anyone know how to purchase tix online for Markus Schulz @ Myst. I was on the eventvibe website and it doesn't give me that option. I want to purchase a ticket to make sure that I get it. Thanks.
You can find tickets for Myst at www.wantickets.com.
