Louie's show was sick,but I never knew so many..."Trendy" people congregated in such a spot.Wish their was more room to dance but all and all great turn out...For HPC,not so much Louie.Seemed like people just went out and he happened to be playing their.I don't know what was more packed the dj'less outside lounge area or the side room with the tripe of a guest or resident I didn't bother to get his name.Louie still threw a few trax through.
What does everyone think of the HPC?I

I mean I know they get great djs but the club itself....

I think it is just fine as it is... it's much better than it was 2-3 years ago as far as the crowd. It was still a Saturday night and some people just go to a certain place on Saturday nights. I know a bunch of people who go to Hyde Park on Friday nights all the time, and when this recent NOISE night started on Fridays I told them about it and they were like, what? we were going anyways, we don't really care about that. Its the neverending battle (story?) but with Hyde Park I think its much better than it used to be, and probably as good as its going to get. At least they are getting exposed to some good music on most nights, with Snatch there on Saturdays and some pretty decent talent. I went there the last 2 Fridays and for Tommie Sunshine there was a decent sized crowd, but for AC Slater it was empty until he came on, and there were about 20 of us there strictly for him and not many more.

to anyone that has nothing to do this upcoming Thursday (4/30), my friends rented out a small lounge/club called Las Trompetas located like on bird and 117th. the place is charging $5 cover, and a couple friends of mine are going to be djing. they spin mostly house.

so to all in the Kendall area that have nothing to do and are in the area can swing by for a couple cheap drinks and listen to some good tunes.

I have no idea how the venue is, never even heard of it (and to be honest, it's in a strip mall on Bird Road), but for being right by some of your houses and being so cheap, along with the good music, should hopefully be a pretty good time.

I saw Craze in Miami and he dropped a sick heavy bass dubstep set... I doubt he would pull that out in Tampa though, even if AC Slater was awesome.

thats why AC Slater was so great there a few weeks ago, even if there were about 12 of us in the main room.
