Indeed... that would be awesome. I'd somehow missed the guy up until about a year and a half ago... he's a masterful producer and a talented DJ. I've been hoping someone would pull him since he was in SF not too long ago I believe.

Also on the subject of 16 bit lolitas they're playing up here in San Fran May 22nd so they should def play too, on top of that James Holden for EDC!!!!! he is playing San Fran July 1st so he shall be in the area take notes from Electric Zoo Insomniac they did it proper last year. I decided to go to Fresh Squeezed over EDC. Mat Zo, Super 8 & Tab, and Daniel Kandi. Already blows the whole line up out of the water quality and originality wise. Sorry

Awful lineup?

Posted by darthseph on May-06-2010 22:33:

lol... you say one name and people think that's an announcement. Umek has not been booked according to any source but we were discussing how it'd be awesome if he was.

Do ticket locations charge a service fee like online?
For example Ticketmaster has tix for $75, plus $12.40 in fees, so if i buy 4 tix thats a LOT of extra money, i'd rather drive 1.5hrs to buy them in SF.....

typically they do not... and they typically take cash only.

call the store ahead of time and they will verify with you the price and if they have some still in stock or are sold out which can happen...

Posted by DaveT on May-07-2010 03:31:

Not sure if you have to pay a conveniece fee for EDC if you pick up the ticket at a remote ticket location (ie. a store), but I've def had to pay for them in the past for other events. I think the store has to add it on to make any money...probably just how they make any profit off of it in those cases.

So yeah, be sure to call! Hopefully there's none for EDC tix.

The venue's box office is usually where there's no service fee. Butit's usuaully not convenient to get to them. :-p

hmmm... the very few times i've bought hard tix at record stores here in LA, there were no surcharges...
