What happened? I was 3 cm out in my measurements!! The result? Got to set the 1210's up the annoying way...

I've made a template to stick over it all to make it 'Recessed' (kinda got to really) but I think I'll just get a pair of the Citronic CD stands (unless someone has a better idea) and I'll raise the CD decks over the mixer and 1210's the right way round. Not what I wanted, but at least someone can deal with it ok:

oh man i fucking lvoe it.. specially the poster!

Here's me thinking he spent all his time hunting for Hunny...

I'll post a pic of the unit when it's all finished.

Yeah, the bear likes to mix it up - poor fella has tiny little paws though, so can't really use the EQ's. The polar bear isn't much of a DJ, more of an observer - but he likes it cool!

I was lucky enough to catch that Sasha show at Pacha in August - even got in for free due to 'research' for the DJing for Dummies book. Hell of a night.

Only thing better the entire trip was the 'Judgement Girls' that Judge Jules has for his Judgement Sundays (which I managed to blag ViP passes to for 'Research' for the book.

Great holiday - then some ****** stole my bag, with iPods, camera, sunglasses etc - and draft 1 of DJing for Dummies!! Hope he can't read English...

It's about damn time Glassball!!

Looks hella sexy.. and CLEAN!

Posted by vman83 on Sep-30-2006 04:57:

this is my small setup

i hope to have a massive new desk area big enough to accomodate the DJM600, my 1210's, and also a set of CDJ's. I want to replace the massif CRT monitor with a nice LCD screen.

I also plan on having a small side desk for my my keyboard so i can produce, run serato etc all on the same LCD.

Posted by on Sep-30-2006 12:52:

^^Ya, that CRT monitor looks so out of place..

How do you like the Behringer Truth monitors?

Very nice setup indeed!

Only thing about that mixer is that the headphone slot would piss me off!

I'm nearly sure they do L shape 'brackets'/ adaptors or whatever they're called. That would sort your vertical problem. But add a whole lot of mess i suppose

It's a small thing to be annoyed about, my vestax lets me plug it into the front or on top of the mixer. I choose on top

Yeah, but it's not too annoying for me. I read somewhere it's better to have the vertical slot. Something about how the weights destributed in the horizontal slot makes for a (possible) worse connection.

Posted by Allied Nations on Sep-30-2006 21:42:

My headphones have the L shaped end so it would be better for me.

I don't have that problem with my Ecler... It gives me both styles as options... on top, or out front..

Cool, have one about 10 minutes away. Would you say the hutch could support something like a KRK RP8?

the truth monitors arent bad, they are very neautral

good for production and all that stuff, but if i ever want to have a house party, will deffinately need a sub or just a massive set of thumping speakers

i got 2 of those desks to make a half oval kind of shape only problem is the strength of the desk = , rather weak because my stuff bends the middle of the wood now

Hah, I think you just need to get off your lazy butt and check out the desk at Staples . My guess is it'll hold the KRK's.

Just scored a DJM-600 for $650 AUD today, so here's some updated pics.
My apologies for the amazingly poor quality courtesy of the SE k750i, heh.

Caps make good monitor stands/things to tilt them on.
