Holy shit. Anybody watching the Dallas/Warriors game? The Warriors have been down for a while now, then they tied it up right before the half, then Dirk got an and1 with one second left...followed by a Baron Davis halfcourt shot to end the half tied.

2nd half is about 2 be CRACK

Posted by shaw on Apr-30-2007 03:54:

man, if the warriors win this...damn...

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Apr-30-2007 04:02:

i knew the warriors would play tough with the mavs. as i said before, a healthy baron davis = a very very GOOD point guard(i have seen him play healthy a couple of times when he was with the hornets). the warriors matchup very well with the mavs, and i don't think the mavs have an answer for richardson. too bad harrington has been getting reduced minutes lately, because he is a good player. i would like to change my pick from the previous, and say the warriors are now the clippers of last year. warriors have a very deep bench, and can run with the crowd.

Posted by shaw on Apr-30-2007 04:38:

this game is crazy.

Posted by fmodena369 on Apr-30-2007 05:02:

with all those air balls from nowitzki...i'm guessing the German was drinking a lil too much Jager before the game...unbelievable win, great basketball game, only if they could change their votes for MVP during the playoffs!! just a guess, dont think Dirk would be MVP, just a guess!!

oh shi-

Ugh. Ugly game by Raps. That lack of playoff exp is showing and players are pretty much on panic mode very similar to last yr. Shoot first, crappy defence, Sam Mitchell gets more white hair.

Only positive is that Bargnani showed slight improvement and getting back in form.

It's going to take a lot to get back in the series. Yeah. Playoff exp counts big time.

Still can't get over how much Jason Kidd is bringing it.

A Bulls-Pistons series would be fun for sure. Pistons should be able to shut down Chicago's perimeter offence though. Their system is honed so well and much experience.

Posted by medinaM5 on Apr-30-2007 08:58:

bulls are my team now. mavs and warriors series is surprisin me, pretty anxious to see how the rest of it goes. i'll say a couple wins in dallas for the mavs then a crazy game 7.

David Stern has to do something. No one wants to see the Warriors in the next round...

Damn, Play-Offs without Dallas, Lakers, Miami... if Dallas is out I stop watching NBA immediately.

oh shut the fuck up. Miami sucked this year, so did the lakers and the mavs, well they were focused too much on getting 70 wins.

No one?

- Warriors fans.
- Anti-mavericks.

Posted by fmodena369 on Apr-30-2007 17:59:

I dont want the Warriors in it, NBA playoffs has always been about having the best teams in it til the end, and that's why the Playoffs are so exciting,so many buzzer beaters and last second shots. Warriors deserve to win this series because they're playing un-humanlike, but fuck, Nowitkzi better step up his game for the rest of the series if they want to win. If he chokes, there's gonna be a LOT of talk about picking the MVP after the playoffs!

seriously...what a dumb comment.

The Lakers blow this year, Miami's got a team full of geriatrics, and EVERYBODY likes seeing upsets, except for the fans of the losing team.

What, you want an NBA BCS?

I dont necessarily agree with everybody liking upsets...this isnt March Madness where if you picked the upset 15 over 2 you jump up in the bracket. Don't you want to see the best teams playing eachother? If you want a playoff like last year where there were so many great series (Phoenix v Dallas) (Dallas v San Antonio) (Dallas vs Miami) (Suns v Lakers), the BEST teams play eachother. Yea the Warriors are winning the series and are looking like they're moving on, but that's all due to matchup problems they give the Mavs. NBA playoffs is about star players, and that's what people watch and pay for.

Posted by Kapedano on Apr-30-2007 19:44:

I think the Mavs will come back. They cant possibly lose this series. For me, its far from over. Anyways, if they do, and the Spurs advance, I am sorry guys but you will see another Spurs championship victory (hopefully I dont jinx it. I like being under the radar) hehehe

Posted by LeopoldStotch on Apr-30-2007 23:38:

dude. there are other teams than the spurs.

ok. fixed.

the spurs are the most boring team in basketball

that's because Tim Duncan has no muscles in his face.

As for the upset stuff, I agree, in general, but people still like seeing a couple upsets along the way. Nobody wants to see a Warriors/Raptors Finals, but it's more exciting when not everything goes as planned.

the beauty of the playoffs is that it separates the men from the boys. in the playoffs, the best team is never the team that has the best record in the regular season. it's all about matchups, and if you matchup well with the team you're playing against. you lose 1 home game, and you're an awful away team, you're screwed.

'96 Bulls.

I laughed when one of the commentators last night said that the Heat just didn't have that hunger that they did when they won it all. The guy claimed that they just didn't care about the regular season, since it's just hard to get up and really put all that effort into every game for months when you've already got your ring. Jordan would have whooped everyone's ass on that team.

It is super sweet seeing the Mavs getting the beat down! I am one that loves the upset or the underdog. Unless it's my team of course but my team sucks so they'll be the underdog for quite some time. Anyway, always nice to see bangwagonabye go bandwagonabyebye. Wouldn't be surprised that the Mavs come back to tie it up but I think the Warriors are gonna win it.

Went to the Fakers v. Suns game on yesterday. Suns looked like an offensive machine. A ton of dunks and some nifty shooting. Amare was a super stud. Nash with 23 assists? He's magic. I'm picking the Suns to win it.

Please God no Spurzz, Mavzzz, or Pistonzzz

Oh FFS. What do you want? All playoff games rigged so that the favourites win all the time?

It's the playoffs. The team that plays the hardest wins.

So what if weaker teams beat better teams? That's what the game is all about.

cavs wrap up their series at ease, and rockets pull out a 4 point win against the jazz. t-mac ended up with 16 assists. wow!

come on spurs(z)!
