How many times do I have to here the same old shit from Sox fans...Every fucking year its the same old story...The Sox will win the AL East and the wild card is coming from the central,,,,BULLSHIT....

Heres what is going to happen....The Yankees will catch up and overtake Bosox gradually..The Red Sox have peeked to soon and I'm glad we're having a bad run at the start rather than the end...Toronto will beat you into third place,,,Manny will bitch about wanting to be a Met and Ortiz will be bitching about not being named MVP...

However we will get embarrassed once again in the post season...Bernie will return at some point,,,Torre will be fired and replaced by Gerardi...

The Yankees aren't gonna win. Sorry to burst everyone's bubble. Maybe they'll win one game but they won't win the series because they know that steven-neil bet me $20.

I've already said that at the moment I can't see where our next win is coming from...

I really don't see the Yankees winning today and I'm not just saying that because of our bet. However, as I'm writing this Cano just went yard and someone else just hit a single. Already their starting pitcher has been taken out due to injury. Maybe it'll end up being a good game afterall.

i wouldnt go as far to say that. haha i still want his ass traded. rofl. both he and cano actually BOTH need to go...totally NOT consistent

but hey, nothing like an exciting game with a rally within the last two innings eh?

hmm farnsworth eh? lets hope he holds up. it sucks he has to pitch in such poor weather...

yups the yanks refuse to give up...thats how its done...

Posted by phoenixBEBE on May-19-2007 23:34:

ugh, oh well. it was a **good*** attempt by the Yanks (even as the Mets advanced 10-6 in bottom of 8th)

meh. im going to go back to watching the Heroes marathon on Sci-Fi channel

wow...that's an interesting statement. Cano not consistent?!?!? Are you kidding? You can't bat .340 and be inconsistent. He's in a slump, and all players go into slumps. You must remember he's only 24 years old. The kid will get better.

If it wasn't for A-Rod's april, we would have only 13-15 wins this season.

Agreed. It's a tough sell to argue that the person who leads baseball in home runs and RBIs needs to go - As for Cano, he has far too much upside for the Yankees to consider trading or not resigning him.

Do Yankee fans expect every player to bat .350 with 30 home runs and 100 RBI?

hahah! we may wish but we dont expect it!!

On another note, I was at the game yesterday and I think we may have had to restrain our entire section from going down on the feild to beat the hell outta Cano. I am down with one mistake, but when you have 3 that lets 4-5 runs in, its just not going to make an entire section of YANKEES fans too happy. btw, wtf were all the mets fans yesterday? the entire top section was like 50/50! Had to talk more shit on friday lol.

goooo yankee! lol that makes me wish i was there yesterday in that section as well. eheh. I would have probably LED the brigade. rofl.

and yes exactly my point...u have to play as well defensively as you do in hitting runs etc. when I see Cano strike out multiple times (3 in one game)...or madd errors? give me a fuckin break

well ok, he *is* consistent huh? sure, ok, but PREVENT the other team other team FROM scoring so we can hold on to our lead.

he's not inconsistent right now. Cano is consistently not getting a hit. It's not like one week he's ripping it up and the next he's not; that's inconsistency. He's in a genuine slump. This is the first slump i can remember him being in since the end of his first year.

not the players fault that george pays them crazy amounts of money. they didn't sign a contract saying they would be close to god-like. too much pressure in nyc if you ask me
