i knew i shoulda done avb 6hours @ turnmills :|

sounds like a massive plan rach. grab yourself a eurail pass and be on your way. you can purchase sensation and gg tix online, or if you're meeting peepz over there get them to buy it.

Out of your list I've been to

- London (just didn't do it for me. very big on beer and pubs, and rain. ugh)
- Amsterdam (sensation, windmills, hash cookies, clogs, van gogh, anne frank's house, heineken factory, red light district, and fries with mayo ~ a world of its own. be sure to have an open mind and you'll be right)
- Berlin (one of my faves, so much history in East Berlin - do a walking tour)
- Florence (a lot of renaissance here. make sure you don't go on a monday because the museums are shut and you won't be able to see the real michaelangelo)
- Rome (rome wasn't built in a day, and you're going to need more than a day to see it)
- Barcelona (you gotta check out Maremgnum on the waterfront and Gaudi's masterpiece)
- Paris (simply majestic, paris at night is a MUST)

DAMN i wanna go to Ibiza! If you get a chance I hear Madrid is worth checking out too (and has a different feel to Barcelona).

hmm... interesting,

cheers ppl for all the info for us feeble first time europa's , i'm going over to switzerland for the uni holi's, prolly the same time rach's goin, late july to early aug

prolly go clubbin a bit, i'm staying in basel (gf's parents live there) but prolly going to go to zurich and across the border into germany for a bit. i was thinking of flying over to amsterdam for sensation, and i want to go to ibiza for a few days, kinda would be a holy grail trip for me, i'd have to go to amnesia (prolly an armada night if theyre going again next year)...

I'd like to go see god's and gatecrasher and go to GGG but the gf's completely opposed to the uk... grr... maybe next time

prolly going to go to prague for maybe a week, dunno what there is there, but no doubt we'll find something...

what's accomodation like over there? i'm told you gotta book like now or you won't find anything... and flights too? my gf's got lots of friends in germany, switzerland and czech so those places shouldnt be a prob, just the flight...

and just how expensive is a night out over there? i've been told that it can cost hundreds of AU$ and you've only got in the door i have a bit of savings but i want to eat too while i'm over there...

if you get a chance go check out the jungfrau. i stayed one night in lauterbrunnen and absolutely loved it. such a beautiful place. nothing beats snow capped mountains. i didn't go up the mountain though, instead i rented a mountain bike and rode around the area. there's this cool waterfall inside a mountain not too far from the town. it was awesome.

my friend went to zurich during the week and said it's pretty boring, like any other financial district, but the weekend people come out and party.

Posted by PulseFusion on Dec-12-2004 01:06:

start jumping on the UK, German and Holland TA forums, and get as much info as you need. No better way to learn about a place than from the locals. They definitely helped me with my trip and it was cool meeting a stack of em at the pre- fight the power meetup at the reichstag

of course if cam is gonna be there then he can be your bitch i mean guide

Thats when I'll be there, thinking of doing
Amsterdam
Berlin/Munich/Dresden
UK

While I'm there I'll do
Winter Dance Valley
Innercity
NYE in London
maybe Trance Energy 02/2006 (if there is one)

Then on to the US and Canada, and back to Australia

This is over the course of December, January and part of February

Any other good places to go at that time, might check out Switzerland, and hopefully some of Scandinavia, but it
d be too cold at that time of year.

Posted by waXology on Dec-12-2004 15:02:

are you travelling by urself or with friends or bit of both?

Posted by misstrance on Dec-13-2004 12:55:

cam, thats a lot of stuff u have planned...u must be pretty good at saving!

i don't really spend that much and even with a full time job im still struggling - but then girls naturally tend to waste a LOT more money on shopping than guys do

Trance Nutter: if ur going in winter then i would definately check out switzerland/austria. would love to go skiing there if i had the money!

Undecided at the moment.

Would like to go with at least one mate, but none of my mates really like trance and as you can see my trip is pretty musically driven. Having said that, one mate was thinking of going to europe at the same time (unknown to each other) and he is trying to save up extra to match my funds and we have talked about going together even if just for a short time.

If not I've got no probs going over by myself, some friends are going to be living in London at that time so I can always meet up with them for a couple of weeks, as well as a cousin who lives in Dresden who I can meet up with for a little while.

Also thinking of doing a Contiki (thinking France/Italy) or something similar for a few weeks.

Anyone is welcome to join me though
