Making excuses for retarded captain selections or trading off players who end up coming good... is poor form.

Instead how about make some "eductated" decisions and find out who always plays well against certain teams at certain venues and it might give you a better idea on who to choose... at least that way you wont feel like a noob if it doesnt come off because you have done everything possible to get a better score.

As for trading off players prior to a player having a great game - The number 1 rule in Dream team is to always TRADE IN someone who is at least 30 points better on average.. ( note 30 points better doesnt always equate to being a more expensive player )

eg. Trading out M Murphy for S Goodwin

ok, so Bradshaw was averaging around 85 and improving, McGregor was averaging around 60ish and was stagnant. So I did follow that rule. McGregor won't be consistently at that mark, when a team beats another by 138 obviously their forwards are going to do ok. So in the long run it wil lhave been a good decision I'm sure, but it was just bad luck this week.

McGregor? I wouldnt even have picked him in my side in the first place... Bradshaw is a far better pick. Having said that Bradshaw is a hot and cold sort of player.... When hes hot - he fucking fires and gets great scores.... other times he will go missing for half a game.

I know i didn't, it was idle lamenting. if you go back I never did actually say "if only", I was just pointing out that had another player been captain i would won, it was a close game. I probably won't change away from Lade, and it never crossed my mind before the game to change away from him.

Second of all your team is shit... and you have absolutely fuck all idea how to play... Two good selections doesnt make a great team... Therefore one comes to the conclusion that you need all the help you can get

hmm, considering the post you did refer to was in direct reference to mine, the topic was revolving around mine, you would have thought the exact same thing.

No I have no idea how to play, this is the first time I've played this type of game and I don't actually know that much about football. Its a bit of fun, I'm not taking it too seriously. I couldn't give two hoots if my team is shit. Just like I can't give two hoots about my footy tips (except the one for money). Theres more important things in life than some internet game.

I'm in the top 1/3 of the overall competition , so I'm obviousy not doing too shit.
