He's always being linked with other clubs, that's been the situation for a couple of years now.

Torres will end up in a bigger club if Atltico doesn't qualify for the Champions League this season.

Gago is linked with Real Madrid and they want to sign him when the transfer window opens again..

West Ham midfielder Javier Mascherano is today being linked with a move to Italian giants Juventus.

The Argentine ace only signed for the London club in the summer on a four-year deal, but is struggling to adapt to his new surroundings.

As a result, Mascherano could be set for a January switch to the club which had already pursued him before he and international teammate Carlos Tevez opted for the Premiership.

Juve Coach Didier Deschamps recently confirmed his interest in the 22-year-old who would come with the added bonus of an Italian passport.

We tried to sign a midfielder who is now playing in England and we still hope he will arrive in January, stated the Frenchman.

However, his proposed Turin switch may be complicated by the rumours that the MSI company who own him are also interested in buying West Ham.

Mascherano impressed for his national side during all of their 2006 World Cup games and received the compliments from his fellow countryman Diego Armando Maradona.

"Mascherano is the most impressive player amongst the young ones I have seen in the past few years, said the Napoli legend.

He is a prodigy who is destined to leave his mark in football.

I saw this earlier today, and yes, It's a very good player who'll probably fit into Real Madrid's system. I think he can play both RB and DM, I saw one game with him against Wales not that long ago and he totally dominated and scored a beautiful goal.

Has a very good shot, works very well. I'm sure he's going to be a great signing for Real Madrid, I really like him and he's a future prospect for sure, Still gutted that Real leads this transfer on Marcelo, I want other clubs to sign him..

If he signs that means Roma has given up on him which also means despite the Cicinho injury he is heading to Roma. Roma was literally days away from Marcelo and the news of him to Real must mean that there is now a verbal agreement in place.

Marcelo is good player rated higher than Cicinho ever was in Brazil. Great on counter attacks and marking wingers out of matches.

Marcelo is the new Roberto Carlos. There aren't anything signed yet.

Real Madrid wants David Villa, total forward

Where in the world did you get that from????????

Giuseppe Rossi to Parma on loan from Manchester United

Juventus has signed Farik (Hasan Salihamidić) from Bayern Mnich, now they want to sign Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United would get Trezeguet and Palladino in exchange.

Marco Storari officially to AC Milan.

Luis Jimenez to SS Lazio.

Ventola is being watched by CD Osasuna, They're appereantly very interested in signing him.

Baros to Lyon while Carew is in talks with Aston Villa.

Weird transfer as Milan has sucked the past two years.

The transfers are now official.

Fabiano Eller and Kanga Akal are on the move to Atltico Madrid for 1 respective 2,5 million euros.

Kepa on loan to West Ham, great player who hasn't played so many games this season. Good loan from West Ham and hopefully he'll get to play because he's a lot better than Zamora and the rest of West Hams attackers (Maybe Tevez is better, but he's not suited for the EPL).

Lucas Neil to West Ham aswell.

Oddo to AC Milan

I officially hate this guy now

And he's being paid 70'000 a week, 20'000 more than cristiano ronaldo. I Hope west ham fuck off back down, because i hate teams who try to buy their way, portsmouth & spurs are just as bad and Aston Villa will be too if lerner starts flashing the chequebook

The money going about in the english game just now is frightening.

It can't last forever and soon enough the arse will fall out the game in england as it has done in italy who were the big spending league of the 90's.

On the topic of transfers:

Celtic have completed the siging of doumber from rennes subject to medical. It's about time we got a replacement in for that **** telfer.

Posted by Ian on Jan-23-2007 12:24:

it's already crashed once, before Abramovich, when the itv digital company went out of business. Bolton & Many other clubs on the brink of the championship (old 1st div) were in many problems, and it's due to this that we've been so tight since, for our clubs very existence. Liverpool offered Neill 30k a week i believe, more like what he's worth, even a bit high. With these businessmen coming in, come 5 years from now, it'll be about 8 clubs with money just buying the rest of us to death. National teams will suffer too, take ashley young, 10 million for a guy with 20 games in the top div under his belt. You can have 3 foreign players with international experience for that.

Posted by Ian on Jan-23-2007 12:26:

btw. craig bellamy took a reasonably big pay cut to join liverpool, the boyhood team for him. Whatever you think of him as a person, it at least shows something many don't

9mil for ashley young, its safe to say he has started. What a rip off.

The hammers had a 7mil bid for Matthew upson turned down, they'll probaly go to 9 and it will be accepted.

If West Ham gets relegated now, it'll be one hell of a laugh

Burnley put a +6 million price tag on that boy lafferty we were enquiring about, the boy isn't even a prolific goal scorer, unproven at a decent level, christ he hardly even starts for burnley.

Honestly the game in england just now is a completely different planet from everywhere else, it's actually quite funny looking in from the outside how highly they all think of themselves (players, coaches etc).

I think that's more of a bullshit thing, to ward people off. Like Southampton with Bale, it keeps the vultures away for a short while

Posted by Yohan on Jan-24-2007 15:17:

Wow. New Premiership tv deal to be around 40 million pounds per team per season.

Anyone can build a decent team with that sort of money
