My God Rob

I hate work.
I need more sleep.
I met Clovis, Jenny for the 2nd time
, Rjt,Myra, Gypsy Girl, Inconspic for 2.5 seconds cuz I had no idea how you looked, and don't remember your face at all, Beema and some newish FLTA's I had never met - Infinitetrance & epdarks. Techniquez with his kick ass roomate Bobby old friend Ryan... and NYTA's Jayrp & Blake.
w-o-w.
TA's were all over the mother fuking place. I loved it. There was minimum of 5 TA's at a time.. usually
Think next year I'm only gonna hit up Volatl. Most insane party ever and truly the most crack infested party.. IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I swear the stories are so un-fuking-believeable it's hard to believe this shit went down and I was actually there!
Oh.. Most insane set goes to Moby [dj set]. Moby that you see and hear on tv/radio is not even close to "Moby the dj". Tons of fuking energy. His last song was some absolute stupid Tech Gabber type o'song but he had the crowd at his finger tips like no one I have ever seen before. There was this techy sound pounding through speakers every second.. then it got a lil faster.. and a lil faster.. and EVEN MORE FASTER! Moby got up on the tables stood with his fists together while the entire crowd was pounding both fists in the air to that main techy sound.
It was so crazy.. I'm not kidding you.. It looked like Moby was Hitler and we were hailing him. In-fuking-sane. Moby alone was worth the 40$. He dropped some new mix of Body rock and also Basement Jaxx - Where's your head atttttt at at attttt!
Omygoodness.. the crowd was ridiculous. Every song got a loud scream from the crowd. Love him. ![]()
Renzo - I saw this guy who looked really familiar and I went up to him like " Are you from Miami??" he goes yeah.. and I'm like FUK, I knew you looked familiar! I'm Renzo's friend.. and he's like 'ooh yeah.. you're of age now?? I rememebr sneaking you in through the back @ Space'
What's his name? From Cooljunkie.
old miami from 7:30-12 (while it was still just a random half-dead assembly of cracked/danced-out folks) > *
All I can say right now is that on basically 6 hours of sleep in 3 days and having absolutely no voice, I'm really, really glad that PBS Nova specials exist right now.
I literally just walked into the course I'm TA'ing, handed out a syllabus, and put on a movie.
more later, but in the mean time, was anybody else, aside from adam & enrique, at the works this morning, and if so, do you know what track that was with the jazz sax sample, that Daniel Bell played at about 5? Neeeeeeed ID.
LMFAO Rob - you lost your voice after the first day. That's crazy.
I wanted to go to Old Miami but it was to far of a walk and I wasn't in the best state of mind. So I didn't bother to go.
Maybe next year I'll do Volatl & Old Miami in the morning.
Adultnapper rocked it @ Volatl.. they kept serving beers even after the "last call".. there was a black hooker in there dancing all crazy with fishnets and hooker shoes. The ridiculous long line of ppl waiting to get balloons filled with Nitrous Oxide. I mean seeing a party with ppl holding 3-6 balloons and one in their mouth is just a classic image. Will be embedded in my mind forever. These balloons brought the cuddle puddle to a new height. It went from like 2-3 ppl.. to like 10.
I'm not kidding you the helium looking tank was almost as tall as me.
there is no way I would have walked to old miami.

Jan Krueger =
anyone who didn't catch this guy this weekend seriously missed out
leaving Old Miami on Monday to catch the train was just about one of the hardest things i've ever had to do in my life.
So how many of you got mugged and/or AIDS during this trip?
i thought there was a very good chance we would get mugged, raped, and/or murdered by the cab driver who picked us up from Old Miami. scariest cab ride of my life. like 100 times scarier than the cab ride to the Burridge afters in Chicago when Bobby told our cab driver he'd give him $20 for every red light he ran.
some guy was trying to pickpocket Rob when he was giving out wristbands at the door at the Volatl party for a bit.
and i'm pretty sure any of us who met jennypie got the AIDS.
edit // my avatar pretty much sums up my entire weekend.
LMFAO u just reminded me. Jenny was the first TA I met up with @ Movement and all of a sudden she starts screaming ROB ROB *wave .. wave* then she turns to me and goes "isn't that Rob?"
i was likee nooooo..... and since i was dying of laughter I decided to take a pic of the guy with my phone cam [which sucks]

Beatport was the best stage and location was cute.. but holy jeebus was it freezing there.
Every other stage was perfect!
Going through the discussions of Movement 2004 and FUSE:In 2005 that are up on the DCS and DetroitLuv boards is pretty hilarious right now.
I really can't believe how much the festival has changed in 3-4 years - used to be that guys like Plaslaiko, Saunderson, and Kenny Larkin were the "huge" names. Those guys are all great, but man did it ever feel like just a bunch of Detroit buddies throwing one big free (at least in 04) rave for their friends.
Now it rivals any of the big jamband festivals - check out this article, sums up the fest itself very well:
